From what I've been able to find out, the interest and conversations between both parties are real, but at this point they are far from an agreement.

It’s fanciful to think that he wouldn’t want to sign for such a prestigious club and in conversations with them he has been begging them to take him.

Do you guys think he’s good enough?
I watched a couple of YouTube videos and wasn’t convinced with what I seen but some on here seem very excited by it. Is there something I’m missing? Does anybody have any stats of how he compares in that league?

Well I don't know which videos you saw, but in the ~4 minutes of clips that I watched he showed impressive skills and awareness.

As always with Youtube, the question is of course whether those 4 minutes are anything like a fair representation. And what is the standard of the opposition?

It sounds unlikely that he's on his way here anyway, because I'm beginning to think that Terry's translation might be misleading.

I watched this one, just thought the way he tried to run at players etc wouldn’t work in our league.



When we signed Hamer there was lots of stats around his play that were super impressive, just didn’t know if there was anything anyone had found on this guy.

Stats would ideally give a bit of a better picture of a player than a 4 min highlight reel I was hoping

he looks perfect for our league in that video - ball carrying plays do great

The YouTube clips I've seen he looked decent. But like you say, most footballers who have played 3-4 season of football should be able to muster up at least 4 mins of highlights. Even us Sunday league folk should be able to muster up a highlights reel if all our games were filmed.
The thing that bothers me, is the MLS and the championship are very different leagues. Playing against a completely different class of player (on the whole) week after week to which he would face in the championship can make a player look better than they are.

Point in case, look at Messi, he looks world class in the MLS, but was bang average at best in Europe
