He’s clueless, big few weeks ahead so we’ve still got time. Need to actually fucking do something instead of standing still whilst everyone else signs players….even derby paid over 5 million for a striker

What do we benefit from playing teams like this? Surely it would be better to play more evenly matched teams to what we will face week in week out

They’ve done a proper mix of 1st team and youngsters both halves. We basically had the 1st team + Perry and Brau 1H and the 2nd string this half.

Akliouche who scored the 3rd had 15GA in Ligue 1 last season.
people are expecting our 2nd team plus mve and emc to really against a team this good

There is always a risk in playing top class opposition in pre season … results like this can easily happen.

the upside is that no one at the club will be under any false illusion that we don’t need to strengthen this window.

They are a good side, leave it at that. I am not one of those that ‘doesn’t care’ about pre season results but really we should only be worried if lesser teams were turning us over.

These are gonna be in the UCL next season, other than minutes I am not too sure what we stood to gain from playing them? Been men against boys

The kind of nonsense being posted on here is exactly why they didn’t want fans in Portugal, and are playing behind closed doors.

If people think we’re better off playing Leamington and Bedworth and learning nothing than we are playing Monaco and getting handed a good lesson then there’s no hope for you.

The results mean fuck all at this point. We hammered Everton last year and were utter shite when the actual season started.

Correct.

but the game has just highlighted the same old issues - soft goals and plenty of them / back 4 that is too easy to get in against
Exactly that.

But the clubs broke and we have 3 key positions to fix. (CB, GK and ST)

Maybe we should ask Liverpool for the money tree they seemed to have magically found!
