I
Bob Wesson
i’ve always thought (or assumed) that Bob Wesson was in goal for my first game, which was on the 6 April 1963, at home to Halifax Town. The score was 5-4 to City, with a George Hudson hat-trick, the other goals scored by Dietmar Bruck and Jimmy Whitehouse. BUT - the 11v11 record shows that our goalkeeper that day was a Dave Meeson, whose name, in the mists of time, has completely escaped me! Blimey, all this time I’d thought it was Bob Wesson! Another interesting fact from this game is the attendance, at 19,632, was pretty good, I would have thought, for a division 3 game.

Oggy - remember him having a frank exchange of views that day with Ian Wright - a number of years before Wright's knee connected with Oggy's face against Arsenal
I was there for the 2nd one. I still have vision of Dion’s telescopic leg clearing one off the line.

Early season 1996/7 against Bury. 3-0 to City with Bobby Gould and John Tudor getting our goals. Assuming it was Bill Glazier but might have been Bob Wesson.

Stephen Bywater. First keeper I remember properly was Andy Marshall followed by Kieran Westwood. (Westwood my favourite keeper for the record too)

Bob Wesson 1964 v Brentford 2-2. Funny how the mind plays tricks. I would have bet money on George Hudson scoring but turns out it was Ken Hale plus an og.

This thread has almost made me feel like I've been catfished for years. Thinking I've been chatting to people of similar age only to find out I've been chatting with a crowd of pensioners.

... So much so I almost feel like I need to explain the word catfish to said pensioners.
Just look at the football kit votes haha. Every one going through is pre 1995.....nostalgia playing a part
