Tommy Capel and Colin Collindridge.. now there's two names I remember. When football was football not like today's prima Donna's.Same as Voice of Reason. Peter Taylor. Almost certainly in that same season 1952/3.
And your point is ?Who was in goal the first game that you saw? And how many years was that after your birthday? What about your national insurance number? And your mother’s maiden name?
Think Chris Kirkland might have debuted in a 6-1 annihilation at ChelseaGlazier other top flight games blyth suckling sealey oggy hedman murcott gould speedie! cant remember but sure there were others
There's a bench in St Nicholas Park, Warwick dedicated to Bob Wesson. My dog stops at it every time, and asks for a treat. Saw the name, recognised it as a former City keeper. Googled it. Wrong Bob Wesson. Makes me smile each time, and whoever he was, he gets an almost daily recognition from my dog and me!
Beating villa on Boxing Day in the early 90s
can still smell and see the green pitch.
I was at Kirkland’s debut v Tranmere at H/R, we won but I can’t remember the scoreThink Chris Kirkland might have debuted in a 6-1 annihilation at Chelsea

Brutal game for a young keeper, but always loved the story of his dad betting on an England appearance that eventually came many years later.I was at that game too.
When we got our consolation goal, we started singing 'We can see you sneaking out' to the Chelsea fans, which they were quite amused by.
Is that away game ( FA Cup)where Oggy saved a pen and Lee Hurst stuck the rebound into the net for an og.View attachment 43982
Cambridge Utd in the FA Cup, not the wurst game, not the best. Dion Dublin scored for them.
Didn't he get an absolutely ridiculous red card which eventually got overturned?Think Chris Kirkland might have debuted in a 6-1 annihilation at Chelsea
