Agents and players will of already been spoken too to test the water on possible deals. And come the 30th some of those will be triggered. Its just a few weeks and all will become clearer. I like a few names already mentioned on here and if ST keep going the way they are and Vik and Gus move some could happen.

Enjoy as i think its going to get busy..

Not expecting much to happen for a few weeks. We're now after quality not quantity. We will need to replace anyone sold which we can't do until we know who's leaving. Otherwise we won't be bringing many in. Any transfers already agreed would have signed by now. The quality players we will be after will most probably take their time to see what alternative offers are on the table.

Lampard being on holiday won't change a lot. Times have changed. There's people in place to do the negotiations. If needed video calls can be done at any time.

Really hope we haven’t deluded ourselves into thinking we can go again with this squad.

Na we will add, but as I said a couple of weeks back when everyone was shouting about getting rid of half the squad, that won't happen

Are the ones that have been told look, your chances will be limited if you want to move on or someone meets our valuation we wont stand in the way

Bassette will be loaned out

Obikwu, Dausch and Andrews will get a proper crack in pre season, also Luke Bell


We wont get more than 3 or 4 in of real quality. Maybe a loan or 2 nut the squad doesn't need ripping up and starting again

Yeah. I worded that badly.

I meant everyone was able to do business.

The point I was making was that it’s not just the Club World Cup teams that are active in this window and we run the risk of losing a potential target if we are slow off the mark.

I like simms but he won’t get chances under Lampard so that makes sense.

We don’t need many I agree. A keeper is a must. An experienced CB and for me a big striker.

The rest depends on who goes

Then I guess depends what happens with MVE, Sheaf and Wright IF valuations met/players want out

Simms and Bassett not being part of squad next season and possibly BTA does suggest a shake up of the striker options

3 or 4 of quality plus 4 or 5 backup is what’s needed. If we can fund that without major outgoings then fine. Two seasons running we’ve run out of squad before the end of the season. The squad is not fine.

Your addition is really coming on. Need to practice ranges though.

7-9 yeah.

We have no backup at: LW/RW/RB and arguably AM and need better at CM IMO.

If we keep Wright we’re OK up front, need a LB a keeper a CB and maybe a CM for the first team tho.

Could make a case for a striker and a backup CB too TBH.
