Another one of those Extremists Sunak was warning about at his lectern in front of No.10 the other week
I wonder how he’s going to manage this one.
Bloody hell that's grim.

There was a report in one of the papers late last year that he'd been offered significant £ to join Reform.Weird decision to join yet another party by 30p Lee. NHS was likely to lose his seat this year but even more so standing for them.
I guess it's time for him to make as much noise as possible and then try and milk it for money on the right wing media.

It's time to confess that I am a landlord, purchased it with some savings to provide an alternative to my pension savings a 15 years ago and give me a monthly fixed amount when I retire as opposed to trusting annuities and me dying straight away and the wife/children not having any benefit from that pension. And landlords, don't forget them despicable buggers feeding off the other side of society, get out the way and let people own them instead paying your mortgage! All stacked in their favour with this help, that tax benifit guaranteed, some right shady buggers getting in there accessing dodgy money, stick your HMO's and flat conversions up yer arse!
He's back in some form!Just finished the rest is politics
Such a shame that integrity and honesty are so denigrated in public office
Not saying I’m perfect far from it but you would hope these are traits to admire and pursue
How Boris reached the highest office in the land is utterly bizarre and says more about us than him
They recon he’ll be standing in the next GE, presumably as a Tory with one eye being leader of the opposition after the GE.He's back in some form!

Argentina borrows money denominated in other currencies, the UK does not do that nor need to.Argentina dealing with the lenders then?
Not sure that’s 100% correct. IIRC from something I read a long time ago the government doesn’t but the BOE does, especially in USD and EUR. We might not be as exposed as Argentina given the Peso is worthless (especially true since it’s lurch into right wing populism) but we are exposed at least through the BOE.Argentina borrows money denominated in other currencies, the UK does not do that nor need to.

No it doesn't, it might have foreign currency reserves but they are a different thingNot sure that’s 100% correct. Never trust a Twitter/X page which doesn’t link whole article
This wasn’t FTs view it was a debate article from 2020…prior to rampant inflation. The exert was written by…..surprise surprise…
The writer is a professor of economics and public policy at Stony Brook University and author of the forthcoming book “The Deficit Myth”
The funny thing is the article was debating the risks of inflation and whether the covid monetary policy ie everyone printing hundreds of billions, might cause inflation. The alternative view
‘This dangerous monetary practice ensures inflation is around the corner’
We all know what happened next…..
You think the inflation driven by energy costs, supply constraints and then by war was due to "covid printing money".
Agree with that. Whatever views people have on trans rights making biological interventions like this on particularly vulnerable children just isn't right.
Good
If an equivalent on the Labour side said the same about a Jewish figure we all know what the headlines would be and Sky would be reporting ‘Labour denies they are like Nazis’ again.Tories doing the rounds this morning again covering themselves in glory. Not only do they not intend to give the money back they’d except more from him.
Looks like Abbot has reported him to the police specifically on the someone should kill her part.
Not to someone like you perhapsDo wish we’d stop pretending we don’t understand hyperbole and rhetoric. “Needs shooting” is not a genuine call for violence against someone.

Well John McDonnell said the same about Thatcher
It's the narrative that's worrying.Do wish we’d stop pretending we don’t understand hyperbole and rhetoric. “Needs shooting” is not a genuine call for violence against someone.

You seem to be giving the green light to racist misogynist 'banter' in public places.
I'd be horrified if I heard that type of language at the match.
Do SWFC 'fans' have the right to say that Kasey Palmer's behaviour makes them hate all black men?
Problem is that the right is full of nutters who aren’t shy of resorting to violence. Ask Jo Coxes family. It only needs one to take it as a call to arms. So at the end of the day I guess it depends on your definition of “serious”.Not to anyone remotely serious.
