Bad as Simms has been, Godden would have added nothing.

Fine but Godden would have been fresh legs.

A really big concern is we have no leader on the pitch whatsoever.

MvE well off the boil.
Torp’s almost consistent piss poor delivery is being ignored.
COH is gone.
Poor January.

Can we agree that 5ATB doesn't work anymore.

We were shit at the start of the season, magically became quite good when going to a back four and have instantly become shit again with 5.

At least this should be telling MR and Doug what we need to do in the summer.

Rugby kickers tonight - missing Saka , Allen and Sheaf - no surprise with the score - we need a fit team for Tuesday

Also need to put in some serious crossing work for MVE, doesn’t seem to actually look for a target in the box, instead just hopes someone will be at the end of it, not good enough at this level, look at WBAs second goal. Frustrating as fuck to watch.

Great prospect, but work needed.

from the team that played tonight I’d only have Wright, Torp and MVE starting next season, Kitching obviously too, and possibly Thomas and Palmer in the squad

other than that I can’t see anybody else is good enough…

and given we’ve only really got Sheaf and Tats out, we need a hell of a lot of activity close season to be competitive next

Well it's looking like we are going to come up short this season, I'm not in the camp that think we'll be top two next season without considerable investment into the squad.

Why would you keep Palmer? He's on big wages and delivers very very little for it

You'd rather he played players who are ill and unfit? Why not add Sheaf and Sakamoto?

The issue is the lack of squad depth.

Kitching and Collins been ill and unfit for weeks then? Bidwell been ill to keep being dropped foot da silva?

It's shit excuses. It's not just today.

I wonder how many managers in this division would look at Ellis Simms and track his form with a view to signing him. I honestly can't see anything to get excited about .

I think there's some over reactions about the players tbh, aside from one or two, they are alright and when played in a way that suits I think they've showed that. I have no idea what Robins is doing atm.

There is no chance

Reflections - (im not usually this negative but i’m in a bad mood so let me off)

- The back 5 isn’t working this season. We look disjointed with it and as if there is no connection between the midfield and the attack even with COH and KP in the 10 role. This probably reflects us last season having vik up front who could chase anything and pickup space in the channels exceptionally even with little service and also having gus at the end of the year advancing effectively.
- MVE has looked poor defensively for a while now, which is a shame as he had a promising uptick in form around new year
- Kasey Palmer flatters to deceive. The clueless commentators on sky said he was our best player but imo other than the penalty he offered very little other than giving it away or blasting it over and I think we’d have fared better (although still not got a point) if he kept O’hare on instead.
- As soon as Sheaf comes back and is on form, we’ll be a different side. The playoff race isnt over as we could be much improved with him back in but we need to start picking up points away from home more consistently

We had plenty of openings but Simms can’t hit a barn door, his shooting is not good enough again. I don’t know the answer,
Torp excellent again but he didn’t have is shooting boots on.

The problem is the defence

we were so solid

then robins tinkers

he’s to blame as I feel like he’s doing weird stuff
