As I said in the middle of this thread. I don't aim digs at Godden for the fun of it, it's not fun at all and it's a shame because another very key player in our recent history is showing huge signs of decline.

But it's a fact now, that not only does he not influence a game, you'd barely know he was playing and the worst thing is, when he does touch the ball now half the time he's breaking up our own slick one touch footy between o hare, tats and MVE.

Happened on Friday sheaf drove forward, one two, got it back and tried to play someone in and godden got in the way and the move broke down.

We all know what MG has done for this club and it will never be forgotten, but at this point he cannot start anymore league games. He just can't

I think it’ll be a mistake by Robins if he opts to continue with Godden at Norwich. Hope he doesn’t do what he did with Walker

Simms has played laid it off and connected the midfield and got himself a goal.
Hopefully Wright starts as well , if hes not fully fit bring him off after an hour or so

Massively underwhelming or played a big part in our uplift inform before Xmas and over the Xmas period ?
If you don’t like him or rate him fair enough but don’t get emotional when he gives it back

'He's giving some back'. I'm sorry, I just don't get it. Who is he giving it back to? Most people in the stadium don't deserve that and haven't done anything to him. It's not like he's been booed or jeered. The overwhelming majority of our fans are extremely supportive and get behind the players, even when they aren't playing well. That includes him. I accept there's some loonies on social media, but even so... Look at all the stuff that's happened with KP recently. Massive support from the fans and a real sense of community about the place. That's what we're about. Shushing the crowd just comes across as a dickhead move and a bit immature. I accept that isn't everyone's opinion, but I stand by what I said.

Sir Alex said sentiment doesn’t win games or trophies

I thought he was neat and tidy tonight but not really threatening ….
I think that’s kind. He wasn’t alone of course - just a flat performance. Think Robins got in a muddle with Sheaf going off so early. Even 15-20 mins later and he probably goes Torp. Godden has played his way out of the team.

Did he even do it to home fans?

He did months ago but got those 2 goals against Oxford

And we know MR is ruthless with players. Grimmer was dumped after promotion. He's dropped mcfadz and Kelly from the squad entirely yet some reason Godden is his old faithful
Like I’ve said before it’s seems weird but when Wright is fit Simms starts , when Wright got injured he starts Godden
Tonight showed Simms should start as often as possible till the end of the season

Take the draw. Not a great performance but Bristol solid team and we got a point added to our tally plus a much needed Simms goal.

Torp looks a player and I love our Cebtrebacks.

Collins was poor but good save at end

The fashion equaliser came in makes it easy to get a good night's sleep tonight

But that tells us something doesn't it, Robins isn't sentimental. So the fact Godden starts so often can only mean that Robin's see something in him that we all clearly don't.

Sheaf is a big loss and not sure how we cover that hole. Lati is clearly not the answer and not sure if Torp can play 90 minutes at this pace albeit he did show some very nice touches. Would have loved to have won this and drawn away to Norwich. With all the teams breathing down our necks not sure if Norwich is a game we now need to try to win. Just a very flat performance today with many players not up to the mark. Think Robins is going to blame tiredness and players being leggy although we rested a fair few players vs Sheff Wed. tbh

One more thing. There’s only one person on here who’s a bigger Godden fan than me, but I think it’s past time now…

If people choose to over analyse things that's on them not him. Him and Collins are the only reason I'm not going to bed in a foul mood, I couldn't give a fuck.

You miss the point. He is putting pressure on himself. He already looks a nervous player.
Is that gonna help?

Ahh thought we snatched it then.

Didn’t think either team deserved to win though. Bit scrappy in the second half but I think both teams will be reasonably happy with the outcome based on the performance. Wasn’t a cracker!

Good luck for the rest of the season👍🏻 I’m sure you’ll be battling it out for the playoffs whilst we chase 12th place again for the 8th season running…

Robins:

We were no way near the level.

Bristol good team.

Tough games against SW.

Lots of emotional drain

Game was flat. Players were flat and fans. Work both ways.

Point is a plus considering

Ellis reacted well for the goal. Much needed goal for him.

Unbeaten run continues.

Bristol looked like they had more energy than us.

Energy will come back.

They’re a brilliant bunch and we need a better performance on Saturday.

Sheaf hamstring injury. Hope it’s not serious. Will need a scan. Minimum of a few weeks out.

We are strong in midfield. Good options. We were negative and playing backwards. Poor press today.

Transfer window is a distraction. Some teams having a real go. We had our go in summer. We will see what happens. Fans don’t need to sit near the TV and wait for signings.

Tough place Norwich. Other teams will go on a run like us.

Look forward to last 17 games.

Yep. And I'm not a football expert at all but I can't work out what he brings to this starting 11 as it stands

Loving it. Simms gets loads of pelters on here and everywhere else, and gives a little back in the smallest of small doses. People are in floods of tears over it.

Goodnight, I’m off to laugh myself to sleep.
We do have some really precious supporters that get upset at the slightest thing.

Maybe he shouldn't have done it. But we shouldn't have so called supporters so openly having a go at our players. They need to go on Google and type in 'support'. Maybe then learn what their part is.

What a terrible yet exciting game of football. To use one of Robins favourite lines: if you can’t win, don’t lose.

Collins save was incredible. Defence fairly solid despite conceding 2.

Lati’s positioning as a DM isn’t great. So deep sometimes he inadvertently makes a back 3. Everyone pray for Sheaf.

O’Hare had an off day. Potentially his worst since returning.

Happy for Simms. And if his celebration annoyed you, stop being such a softie.
