Hussey for McDonald Change (1 Viewer)

When was the last time we saw a defender come off for a striker? I thought it was a shame for Hussey after the boos he got in the week he didn't have a bad game today but nice to see that Shaw was going to throw everything at them to try and salvage a point.

I thought it was an at tactical tactical change. Then I realised Kilbane dropped to LB so we kept our same shape! I think he maybe should have brough on Brown for Clarke along with this sub (as much as I dislike Brown) and then go 3 at the back. That would have given us a bitter going forward

It was a tactical change. We went 4-3-3. The only problem was McGoldrick played on the left and I'd rather he stayed in the middle and it should have been Kilbane going off not Hussey

I think Shaw should have known that Stevenage would camp in their own half and hit us on the break. He really should have played Ball so that balls into the box (of which there were many) would actually count.

As for Hussey - well I feel sorry for the guy. Just the latest target of the mongs.

In my opinion we should have gone 3-5-3 Stevenage weren't an attacking side, they just waited for our defenders to fuck up and then they went on the break! we should have thrown everything at them

I agree, McGoldrick was our biggest threat.

Not sure, they have lots of pace in attack. Having 3 centre backs would leave lots of space down the flanks.

Is no one concerned that our no1 striker has been subbed on 60 mins in 3 games and never got the start today, not that I hav'nt rated McGoldrick in his two starts.:thinking about:

Very. Aged 26 and still not proven. If someone offered the money we paid for him to get rid would you? I would. Looks unfit to me as well.

I was astonished that Cody didn't start bizarre decision, also bewildered that Barton came out for the second half after one of the most ineffectual performances ever seen.
Taking Hussy off may be the final straw for the lad after being criticised publicly by Shaw and getting booed by sections of the crowd his confidence already fragile, may now be irreparable ?

I have been dissapointed with his conversion rate from excellent opporotunities some of course created from his own work ,but of the guilt edged ones I'd say 25%

I would have bought McSheffrey on to go left wing rather than McGoldrick.

McSheffrey - McGoldrick - McDonald

Thomas - Jennings - Baker

Kilbane - Wood - Edge - Clarke

Is the team i'd have liked us to finish with.

Who cares where he is! I certainly don't.

As long as he's as far away from the starting 11 (even bench will do) I'm happy!

Sadly I agree. He even looked bored ambling around on the touchline. Time to whisper in his agents ear - get a new club pronto.
