If I was Mercedes I'd just use Bottas to launch fast into the first corner, be aggressive and push Max wide. FIA have pretty much said it's ok to do so now anyway. Just don't instigate the collision.

You would think in private the FIA are said anyone who deliberately takes someone out will lose their super licence and disqualified from the championship. I believe it happed years ago.

I am surprised the AlphaTauri have never just bumped in to a merc

Max, Bottas, Sainz all called to Stewards tomorrow for failing to slow for double yellows. Max's onboard from his last lap looks pretty incriminating, don't know about Sainz and I don't think Bottas slowed much either despite not improving his lap time.

For the sake if the show they should just remove their laps.

However, max should get a 3 place penalty, didnt slow at all

Bottas & Sainz was single yellows, so needs to be evidence they slowed. Can be slower sector time, evidence of breaking early, etc. Penalty would guess at 3 places if found guilty.

Max was double waved yellows. That needs to be an abandoned lap, which he clearly didn't. Expect that to be a 5 place penalty.

Masi doesn't seem to know what he is doing. Now saying decisions/interpretations can vary race to race depending on who the race stewards are. Seems the only driver who know thinks the Brail incident was okay was Verstappen. Lot of drivers saying there is no clarity after the drivers' meeting.

3 place drop for Bottas for ignoring single yellow. Assume same for Sainz for same offence. Surely means Max will get 5 places for double yellows.

Tyre gone for Bottas, that'll catch everyone's attention. Probably going to force a 2 stop on everyone.

Leclerc the first to stack it into the walls at Jeddah. Good bet he won't be the last. 79% of the lap is on full throttle, and there is absolutely nowhere to go but into the wall if you get it wrong.

It looks frighteningly quick, not much respite either in terms of slow corners. Proper challenge.

I think this race will decide the championship one way or another, just got a feeling (yes i know Abu Dhabi is next).

One of Lewis or Max is coming a cropper this weekend either via reliability or an accident

Hamilton possibly about to get a 5 place penalty for ignoring double waved yellows, much like Verstappen last time out.

Sainz looked like he was heading for an airplane crash then! Was expecting to see bits of it flying all over the place.

I think we could see the safety car frequently tomorrow. It looks like a great track but get it slightly wrong and it's going to be a big smash and you may well take others with you.

The cynic in me thinks that if Verstappen has to take a grid penalty then Hamilton's earlier indiscretion will be looked at again and he will be given a 5 place penalty.

The last lap by Verstappen was incredible and terrifying at the same time until the crash. I don't think I've ever seen a lap so on the absolute edge in my life.

Agree. So so close to the single best qualifying lap i think any of us would have ever seen

Not sure pole going to decide this race. Got a feeling safety cars, tyres and pitstops going to be a big influence.
Got a feeling could be some carnage first few laps as some cars struggle to heat up their tyres.
