Were people expecting the Birmingham fans to be laying booby traps for us at St Andrew's when we were there or something? I only went to one home game that season, and fair play to The Roost for capitalizing on having another set of fans to drink there, but I don't remember it being red carpet treatment. It was just a pretty empty old stadium with a few thousand City fans wandering around, a bit like Sixfields without the CCFC civil war going on outside.

That for me, is absolutely correct.

If you remember the match day experience at St Andrews, you couldn't ask for anything more considering really. I am very thankful for the hospitality, but of course, that doesn't change that I want to win tonight.

Just hope there isn't any trouble because the two clubs should be a bit closer now really. Should save that kind of nonsense for those cunts from West Brom!
What's wrong with West Brom?

In my West Midlands football fan album it goes:
West Brom and Blues = sound
Wolves and Villa = cunts

I don't have a problem with the Albion either really. I know it's all a bit cringe these days but I actually quite like seeing Midlands teams (even the Villa) getting one over the Manchester, Liverpool or London teams but don't really dislike them either. Even the Sunderland stuff is largely a few new idiots and some who just won't let it go. In fact I'd say the only clubs I really take a dislike to are MK Dons (no place in football for them), Millwall (horrible scummy fans) and Celtic (faux IRA support).

@Stan_Drews enjoy the game tonight pal. I can’t and wouldn’t speak for every fan but I’m grateful for the treatment you gave us at a really difficult time in our history. At the very least, BCFC and it’s fans didn't make a bad situation even worse and make us totally unwelcome at St Andrews.

Yes, I'd echo those sentiments. Aside of the actualities of our need to play at St Andrews, I quite enjoyed my occasional matchday experience over there.

Does that mean 27k sold?
From the ticketmaster site I can only get the total remaining seats, I'm not sure how many seats were not on sale on the site to start with otherwise we could get a decent ballpark figure. Do we know what blocks were not on sale? Is it blocks 11,12,13,25,26,32,31?

added to the above I don't think seats are sold in block 6 are they?

Having hacked something together, if all those blocks were not on sale I get that we've sold 22949 so far.

That total includes bluenoses.

Hammered us at the Ricoh a few years ago. Still hits a sore nerve.
Crikey, that's nothing. I still recall the mocking chant of: "Remember West Brom - We beat you 7-1". Whenever they came to HR late seventies into early '80's.
Other than than that I don't have much truck with them. By comparison, I really don't like Wolves and their supporters. Horrible grotty dingle bunch.

Wildly inaccurate suggestions from people today. People suggesting 27k...

No, I asked if it was 27k on the basis of 2k or so tickets remaining, not realising how much the capacity was constrained

Wasn't aiming it at anyone mate. Just generally on twitter and Facebook I've seen post after post about this huge crowd when there were clearly less sold than against Derby.

Funny enough, I actually think there were more there tonight than 22k.

Just watching it back now and looks pretty empty in parts of corporate and behind the goal. Real shame the cameras are on the other side

It looks horredous on TV and from the away end. Two full stands and one almost empty one behind the goal.
