I can only play the mobile one these days. Just don't have the time to spend 6 hours tinkering with my formation and searching for the exact perfect player.

The iPad version (football manager touch) is a lovely compromise if you like the full game but don’t quite have the time. Nearly all the features but scaled down and you can delegate most things and easily fly through seasons. Usually about £20 upon new release. Hiring a good chief scout takes care of finding great players, especially “wonderkids”.

Same. Lost so many hours as a student playing this that by the time I got a job I had to make sure I stopped buying it because it was taking up so much of my time, especially as the tactics and training became more involved. Closest thing to an addiction I've ever had. Would literally play it into the early hours of the morning.

Funny u say that as I've just downloaded and started a new season on mobile version it's actually pretty good, I have signed Jack Wilshire, G dos Santos free agents and sign a new left new back Durasi, striker lopes and a centre back lach on loan doing quite well not lost in the league yet only drew 2.

I’m still on 2021 on my iPad, gutted to hear that they aren’t doing touch on iPad for 2022.
Thing is though, I’m absolutely fucking shite. I dunno what’s happened, but I can’t win a game. Took notts county to the premier league and then it went into administration (I was like 200m in debt) and they sold all my best players so I quit and went to Leeds.
Bigger budget, made some solid signings. And I can’t win a fucking single game. No matter what formation or tactics I try. I’m terrible, relegation scrap already and it’s January.
4-2-3-1 counter attack, got Jadon Sancho on the left, wonderkid up top, some decent regen on the right. Declan rice and Kelvin philips CM.
Genuinely get so angry hahaha

I absolutely love it when you struggle at a job, get the sack then turn up somewhere else and smash it.
One of my favourite ever games I started at Charlton got sacked relegating them from the Championship and had to wait a year to get a job in Serie B for Brescia, promoted them, Champions league in a couple of years. Then got the Milan job, won the champions league. Went to Liverpool and got sacked first season when I was 10th. Newcastle job, won the double.
The rollercoaster of it not always working out is the best.

Another favourite was winning the league 6 years in a row for man city pre takeover.
I wanted this Japanese regen that scored 30 a year 4 years in a row for Newcastle and they wouldn't let me so I quit and they offered me the job back with £200m to spend so I could buy him. Took it, bought him, he was shit for me and they went bust sold all the players and got relegated but they didn't dare sack me for some reason.

Yeah, massively from what I've seen/read. Got to confess I've not played a great deal yet but one of the release notes made a point of exactly that. If you don't have players with excellent stamina, teamwork, workrate etc. you'll get torn up.
I'm looking forward to the Data Hub.
