James made a substantial difference. Kelly was poor. Grim night all round. Don’t mind it being that ugly if you take a point. Losing that way is a real hard one to take. Absolutely no idea why when you’re 2-1 down with 8 minutes to go and need a goal, you leave your striking pair as a guy who’s hardly touched the ball and a guy who’s scored once in his last 18.

Struggling to find what to write McFadz our best player closely followed by James Biamou tried but really nowhere good enough, their keeper never had a save to make and ours never tried to make a save.. Walker was shockingly bad, Kelly looked knackered it looks like we've dragged Hamer down to our level
Game shouting out for substitutions. Desperately needed some energy on a tricky pitch.
Wilson 5 (indecisive for the first and no presence for the second)
Dabo 6 (looked stronger as the game went on but chances to deliver in the box and didn't execute)
McCallum 6 (real mixed bag. Should have scored early on, could have done better defending their first but generally dominant aerially. Great goal saving block)
Rose 7 (in the main did well. Reacted slowly to Howsen before cross for second goal. Got the assist)
McFadzean 8 (apart from the very end he was dominant)
Hyam 5 (done for pace a few times and passing was aimless)
Kelly 5 (real off day for him. Passing poor and uncharacteristically second best in the 50:50s)
Hamer 6 (as bad as Kelly for the main but did improve a bit towards the end. At least had some creative intent)
O'Hare 6 (the usual unfortunately - bags of endeavour but no end product)
Biamou 6 (forced the goal and worked hard. Some nice touches and then poor use of the ball)
Walker 4 (one missed header from free-kick and otherwise missing in general. There was a noticeable increase in intensity after going behind. Why just then? Surely he should have been subbed)
James 6.5 (unlucky with deflected shot. Think he should have started)

Don’t even think they’re even worth rating tonight. The back 5 were a disgrace, Wilson in particular. I never want to see him start another game for us at this level. The past couple of weeks should have been a kick up the arse for Marosi, if ever he needed one. Had flashbacks of Burge tonight (albeit with better kicking at times). Dithering, undecided on whether to come or stay rooted to his line, unconvincing punches and no presence.
Two utterly needless goals to concede, against a side that should’ve been there for the taking. Perhaps I’ll have calmed down in the morning but right now I can’t see past us nosediving towards league 1. Livid

Wilson looks like goalie who knows he's nowhere near championship standard.
It wasn't just the first goal, there were 2-3 times he made 2 steps forward to a ball that was nowhere near him before scrambling back, which only caused our defence to panic.

Ratings are arbitrary unless there is a standard scale used by all. I always go by the same rating as was used in Match Magazine - 4 very poor; 5 poor; 6 average; 7 good; 8 very good; 9 excellent; 10 outstanding.
For me Rose overall was good and McFadzean very good.

Gotta say I was really disappointed in Kelly today. He only had one thought and that was oik the ball in the air no matter what. I'm assuming this was our game plan to the two up top with o hare picking up the pieces... Needless to say it did not work.
