I swear the M40 is the worst for it!!
Drove to and from Heathrow the other week and it was ridiculous the amount just plonked in the middle lane when the left lane was clear. Some absolute doughnut was in the right hand lane sticking rigidly to 70 and was undertaken by 4 cars and still didn't move over.
I don't understand this "comfort blanket" feeling of the middle lane. Really, really strange.

I go down the M40 once or twice a week and usually it is pretty good. Recently though I have noticed drivers just being totally shit. I've also found generally I have had to be a lot more alert to other drivers not stopping at junctions and roundabouts etc. It is really weird.
As for the middle lane stuff, I don't really get it either, but I think it makes some people feel further from each edge and therefore more space to go at a bit more speed than they are used to. The fast lane hoggers grind me down a bit more because you cannot get passed them so easily.

There are very few lagers brewed in their country of origin for the UK market (the exceptions being the ones owned by Asahi International - which include Peroni, Grolsch and Urquell). Corona is another one, but not an Asahi brand.It's a piss take. I understand imported beers like Peroni etc, but Carling should be £3 a pint max as its brewed in this country.
My new local down in Bournemouth charges £4.20 for Carling...
So your Carlsberg, Budweiser, Tiger (the Singapore one, not Everard's), Heineken, Moretti, San Miguel, etc. are all brewed under licence in the UK, and are probably pretty much out of the same vats!
I can't believe Carling is still going or that anyone drinks it, to be honest!
EDIT - Anheuser Busch InBev now owns Corona and brews it in Wales and China, as well as Mexico - allegedly using the same yeast strain and process.
EDIT Pt 2 - Just found out that Corona is the world's most valuable alcoholic drinks brand. Quite surprised by that!

Even Staropramen is brewed in the UK now, you notice the label says something like "established in Prague" rather than brewed in Prague. It's definitely suffered for it, much prefer Urquelle, Budvar or Krusovice.

It always makes me chuckle when i see the Moretti ads, being all Italian families, etc - "L'Autentica" is their trademark, yet they are owned by Heineken and it's brewed in Edinburgh!!

I'd second the age raise. I'm 27 and not once thought about buying a box of fireworks, especially not to use irresponsibly. Then again, I'm not one of the little scatty rats running around with a knife and a bum bag over my chest.

Can we not just institute a “looking like a fucking scally” law. If you don’t look like a fucking scally you’re treated as a normal sensible adult. Scallys aren’t allowed to buy knives, fireworks, whipped cream, whatever.

Two days back at work and I could probably fill another 277 pages on this thread!
Staffing in my area has been cut by 50% but we're absolutely swamped with work. There's now only 4 of us with any experience and jobs are coming in at a much faster rate than we can get things done. Counterproductive really as its at the point where there's so much work you can't even attempt to keep on top of it by working extra hours which is what was happening pre-covid. Its just going to build up until the shit hits the fan. Makes it ridiculously stressful though.
