I go to the walking football sessions organised by SBitC. Sessions have just started up again last week.
During lock down they were great in trying to keep the community of old geezers together. A WhatsApp group was set up and daily video football challenges were put on there by the coaches. There was a weekly zoom meeting with just general chat, quizzes or the chance to discuss and then pick the best ever Sky Blues team, England team and then the best ever world X1. The last few weeks we had a weekly question and answer session on Zoom with ex City players. These sessions were excellent. In the spotlight on succeeding weeks were Dave Bennett, Dave Busst, Kirk Stephens, Paul Williams, Lee Carsley and finally Oggy. The think that struck me about all of these guys was their humility, no one bigging themselves up.
Well done to Dave Busst and his team.
It would be interesting to know what Wasps did for the community during lock down.
