He has thanked all the Villa supporters and the club for 15 years there since a young lad. he has left the building.
I doubt very much he will hang about getting a new deal somewhere as there is so much uncertainty and risk around now.
CCFC by all accounts want him but he was a loan last season to a league 1 club so not that many championship sides looking at him.
The best he could hope for would be a deal at a club in the lower reaches of the division and of those not many look a good prospect do they?
CCFC would be a good choice for him given the style we play, the manager, the fans and the chance to prove himself week in week out at this level. He can live locally, no big disruption to his family.
If his agent is expecting to get him 10k a week then there wil be few willing to look at him. All considered we must be favourites but does MR's hang about?

Whether this happens or not it is possibly the cringiest display of affection ive seen for a player. Twitter is full of begging fans constantly asking him to sign or asking City when he is signing. The lad is young and about to sign his biggest deal yet i dont blame him for waiting to see what is out there. Yes we would be an attraction im sure but money talks and we still are not able to offer the package most of our rivals can. I cant see him signing anywhere til at least August.

I think a lot have been hyped up by the mystery around if he will or won’t sign, great potential some days he was brilliant but he wasn’t a regular starter for us he’s unproven in the champ if we sign him great but I don’t think we will be breaking the bank for him.

I know mate it’s cringey but I think we have to remember a lot of it is young teenagers and that’s just the way they are nowadays. Probably get immune to it and know it’s just kids

Footballers love the adoration don't they? If he didn't receive anything on his twitter feed he'd probably worse. All about the followers/likes etc these days.
No harm in letting the fans know they want him here.

I am not sure that if any of us were O'Hara, Coventry would be our first choice. Back stop maybe. At his age and with his potential he must be thinking of a place where he cane showcase his attacking ability and earn a really good wedge. We fail on both counts. Whether we care to admit it to ourselves or not, we are likely to be at the bottom end of the table grafting for points and clearly are not top when it comes to wages. All we offer is the likelihood of first team football.

He must be thinking of the likes of Sheffield Wednesday, Preston or Derby as the sort of club he's looking for

Preston have a lad called Bayliss he won’t get a game there :)

Thought he’s been off elsewhere for what seems like ages now. Just a shame because he’s a great player for us and I don’t see him getting the game time elsewhere.

I think wages will be an issue.

He would've either had his wages paid by Villa or if paid by us he would've been on about £3-4k a week.

To then expect £10k a week in the Championship as unproven is a bit unrealistic.

Agent driven I would surmise.

Still think we will sign him mind.
