Confirmed that Hamer is replacement for Walsh.
Dacosta can play rb, rwb, rcb has played lb.
Both good lads.
Badlan and Bentham doing a great job. Badlan been going abroad to look at players.
Still need more strength in depth.
Nothing in the rumour that new players were shown around the Ricoh.
Championship is a step up but we want to continue what we are doing and enhance it.
Waiting for the domestic transfer window to open.
Populated pre season games as much as possible, didn't confirm any games.

Could be a quiet few weeks then on the transfer front. Rumours are that the domestic transfer window won't open until the end of July.

As I said seasons haven’t finished yet budgets still unknown we’ve still signed 2 players more to come once seasons end etc.

Think he also said a couple of other players we want are still playing in the Championship so no movement on them until that season ends.

If the rumour of Dabo having an op are true then can see Dacosta starting the season as RWB.

Doesn’t sound like Dacosta has been brought in to play on the left does it? Either Mason steps up or we need a LWB I reckon.

Can’t wait until the season finishes and we start seeing the team take shape, so exciting.
We will be a after a pen for sure. Unless budget means we have to do with makeshift backup which is less than ideal

Looks like Walsh gone then. Thanks for the memories and good luck for rest of your career!

New left back has to come in. Granted Mason showed promise at the start of last season but if he was Championship quality he would've given McCallum more competition, wouldn't have been stuck plying his trade in the U23's for the last couple of months of the season and Giles wouldn't have been brought in ahead of him.

I think he'd seriously struggle if used as a first choice LWB next season.

Agree mason is ok but Callum was better. We need to target a better player as replacement for Sam

Sam very young. Maube still a small chance they loan him back for championship experience. Depends who they keep from current squad

I wonder which championship players we are looking at?

Seen no links or rumours

If you mean established Championship players. I'd guess few if any.

The wages and fees demanded are far above our threshold. We're better suited trying to find equivalent quality abroad.

We are still interested in the LB from wolves apparently.
But we look a bit light upfront imo, I dont see Baka, Biamou, Ponticelli or Kastaneer making much of an impact in the championship, maybe 1 or more of them will be sold, and I expect/hope to see a couple of new additions.

Didn't he say he was waiting for the domestic transfer window to open? If I had to guess I think he was probably inferring that the club is waiting on PL and Champ teams to reveal who they're willing to send out on loan next season. Only a guess though.

Also an update from big Dave today as well

NEWS: Club Update from Chief Executive Dave Boddy
"At this moment, we are waiting to confirm our stadium for next season. This is a very important matter for the fans and for the Club and a priority for us, and we will update fans regarding this as soon as we are able to.

This has held up the sale of Season Tickets for the 2020/21 campaign. While we know some fans will purchase their Season Ticket regardless of where we play, we cannot sell these until the venue is confirmed. While we could have already confirmed a venue, I’m sure fans will understand us giving extra time to allow further work towards this matter."

In other words St Andrews is guaranteed, but we're probably in talks for The Ricoh.

VERY GOOD NEWS!!

Turned down Sunderland which prob s better prospect in long run perhaps

I'm not saying he'd be tempted but he's going to get linked with any job of this type that comes up.
Given he's spoken out about how well Blues treated him and the squad people will jump to conclusions.
