Just watching this Callum Morton playing for Northampton on loan from WBA. Looks like just the sort of young hungry player to compliment Godden upfront.

Still liking the look of that Williams for Exeter.

Also saw a lad for Derby before lock down, Youngster names Sibley , but just checked and he’s starting for Derby so no chance of getting him on loan

Yep. 20, 8 goals in 11 games. 2 mom awards in league 2 play offs and 3 goals to get cobblers promoted. Doesn't stop running, holds the ball up, quick as fuck as well. Only thing I'd say is lacks composure, should have squared it today and last week but that will come. He could be a hell of a player and I think a lot of clubs will be looking at him.

Although someone said he was shit on here cuz one of his goals the ball hit him in the face and went in

Based on yesterday's game Morton looked a fantastic prospect and I wouldn't be averse to trying to bring him in. Am sure one of MR's priorities is to bring in a forward who can challenge or play with Godden, although I suspect he might look for someone with a little more experience. Agreed that Williams looked to be Exeter's main man, but he was very Jodi Jones like in looks and style, and as we already have Jones there seems little point in going for him. The player I really liked the look of was the Northampton captain Charlie Goode. He played on the right side of their back 3, looked quick, good in the air, solid defensively and comfortable on the ball. Just read up on him and seen he is 25 and 6 ft 5 so certainly provides a physical presence. If that is how he plays regularly he would appear to tick a lot of boxes.

Not sure about that one. Coming back from a niggly injury, seems in the Allen/O’Hare mould (maybe O’Hares turned us down?) but with a worse goals/assists record. Hardly set the world alight at Crewe.

That twitter accounts anout as reliable as John Harriott

Would also like to have a look at the West ham loanee at Oxford (Marcus Browne?)

That’s a good shout actually. Actually at Middlesbrough now and has 3 years remaining on his contract, but with the fact there’s been a change of manager (Warnock) he may be available and probably wouldn’t command a hefty fee. Someone we’ve been linked with before so it’s possible.

Edit: having said that, it’s the one position we’ve probably got far too many players to be honest. Though the idea of him and O’Hare is rather exciting.

I feel a bit sorry for their supporters, they have been in the playoffs 3 out of the last 4 years and lost them all. Their supporters were not a bad bunch as I remember.

I'm staying with family down in Exmouth while I'm back in the UK and watched the game with an Exeter season ticket holder, (was it wrong of me to sit there watching the game in my City top?) it could have easily been 6 nil... Very disappointed in them.....

On another point he has been raving (even during the game) about Randell Williams but I've now watched him in all three of their play-off games and just can't see it.... He's got a bit of pace and a few tricks but he's playing in league 2, I think he would struggle in League 1 let alone The Championship... I do agree with some of the other posts about Goode and Morton, they looked quality for Northampton...

As its the 1st of july, does that not mean that callum o hare can sign for anybody without them paying compensation to villa, if so, then I'd expect city to announce today if that was going to happen... If not then I'd imagine he's going elsewhere

Not sure on how realistic and/or how likely United will be to bleed him into the first team in the coming season, but one id love to see here on loan is Hannibal Mejbri. By all accounts he’s got a shed load of talent already and a shining season in the Chanpionship could be good for his career

Oof! That’ll follow him around for a while!

He’s taken it well, last I saw on Twitter he was posting his highlights reel to remind them.

For the Twitter transfer conspiracy theorists I saw it because Liam Walsh and Jordan Shipley liked it so he’s obviously signing for us ;)

Walsh will no doubt know him having been at Everton himself, you might be on to something with Shipley though

That’s good enough for me! Also means Walsh is signing...or Garbutt and Shipley are off to Bristol City. I’ll take £5mil for Shipley. No less.

Dod anyone else laugh at the Northampton vs Exeter play off final I did Exeter have bottled it aggaain
No, as a football fan who has been through some crap times, why would it amuse me to laugh at fans of another club....who I don't think we have any rivalry with? As someone else said, if we had lost that playoff final, we would have been gutted.
Now, if it was a club I didn't like......(though can't think of any - I'm not having this false forty year 'spat' with 20 Sunderland fans and the likes of villa and Leicester - it seems a long time ago since playing them regularly)!

watched the match and i remember our worry when we played them in the final - until our goals it was nerveracking - i thought they were poor the other night - difficult to keep the momentum with constantly changing players
