Anyone reckon we could get Westwood from Sheffield Wednesday?

how about getting Scott Dann on loan from palace?

I think we should go for George Thomas from Leicester

And while we’re at it, a cheeky bid for Cyrus Christie From Fulham aswell.......
Leon Best is a free agent...

Defender plays for Paris FC in the french second division

If we're digging around Ligue 2 then Adrian Grbic is definitely worth a look.

(Although quick Google suggests that there may be bigger teams after him)

Matt Penney on loan at st Pauli from sheff Wednesday, attacking left back out of contract in the summer according to transfermarket, Quite highly thought of,only 22 would assume Wednesday will want to keep him but might be worth a look

I think I saw him score an absolute screamer in the Hamburg derby this very season!

Gonna post any realistic transfer targets??

we have to try and nab Walsh if possible, I’d pay a million he has to be priority. If it’s a no go I would make a decent offer for Flynn downes of ipswich who is very good and wants out

a proven championship striker is a must, I wouldn’t touch Lyle taylor, bad attitude

o’hare would be good too if on good terms

Luke garbutt, I would enquire about will not be getting a game at Everton

poku at col Utd I would sign as replacement for Jones who I don’t think is ever going to make it

important robins picks up a couple of experienced players I think there will be plenty available when championship finishes

*Asks for realistic transfers, second suggestion is Lyle Taylor who is going to be on about 20k a week*

Walsh would be more like £3m plus high wages I think it’s a non starter

Hamer medical so should be signed soon
Ohare you would think if we can offer competitive wages he’d be up for it but I think other clubs will offer more

Then I don’t think we’ll know any other signing, they will come completely left field like all of them last summer

This will be a real test for robins but I believe a lot of good players will want to be at cov for first time in ages

And a proven championship striker is a must. Think 95% of the league would like one of those. Unfortunatly there arnt many around and they go for prices outside our budget

I really think all this transfer targets at this stage is completely pointless and now on about 97 different threads!
Unless they have scouted someone from Europe I doubt very much anything recruitment wise is going to be done for around a month at least.

May as well close threads and open them up again in a months time! :banghead::banghead:

Also have a clearer idea of premier league/championship players released and available potentially for free with wages being of course the restricting factor then.

Nothing personal against the OP, but this kind of mentality regarding CCFC transfers does bring a smile to my face...

Sell Bayliss, who had had a bang average at best season in League one, for a reported £2 million and people b***h and moan about selling cheap. Then think we can pick up a player who was outstanding in League One, won 2 player of the year awards and was clearly better than League One for £1million

Maybe it’s time to bring Julian Gray back into the fold from Pressley’s bomb squad? Im sure he could do a job!

While we do lack pace in last year's team and his work rate is incredible, I feel his poor finishing is too much of a work in progress for a team that will be fighting to stay in the division. We're not going to have the luxury of being able to waste golden chances every game. Think he scored on debut for Barnsley and then nothing since. Will be like watching Craig Bellamy in our PL relegation year.

Worked pre covid with a Barnsley fan, loved Chaplin but had exactly those misgivings about Thomas, don't think his pace was so effective a level up either.

We need to look forward not back and think about where he fits in how we want to play now.

He's still only 21. He needs to look at players like Raheem Sterling whose finishing was a similar level of atrocious at Liverpool before his move to Man City. He's a good example of how practice and hard work can elevate you to the next level (and the world's best coaching :p )

Might aswell be 36 no way is he coming back from those injuries and even if he did he’d wouldn’t be as good as McFadzean these days and would be demanding a significant wage.

now if he was fit and came on a pay as you play deal I’d have him as a back up at most

I see that Chelsea are releasing Richard Nartey. Who's been playing for Burton.Only 21 so could be worth a punt
