They could have just not thrown and smashed bottles in the first place. Twatty behaviour and does not look good. As a fan group we seem to get a lot of these sort of situations, smashing toilets, nicking beer etc. I know it’s not exclusive to us, but just because people have had a few beers and they’re in a group there’s a lot who seem to think it’s acceptable to act like pricks. Embarrassing really.
No one is defending the throwing of stuff but to compare people chasing 2 lads who were tooled up with people smashing up toilets at away games is a weird take.

I’m not comparing them. As said before in the thread the twat who put the initial video up of the BLM placards seems to have been the catalyst for this. He should be banned. If it’s what happened that the two lads turned up with knives looking for some retribution, then they should also be dealt with. The group who chased them isn’t surprising if the allegations are true, then they should have just let the police do their job and search them.

He is also getting overlooked in it all as well to be honest. (what he did).
Yep, he's the Archduke Ferdinand in the room. I don't think I have seen a single person defending what he did-we've pretty much unanimously condemned him as a fanbase and it sounds like City fans on the scene had a go at him.

Struggling a bit to get my head around how someone with racist views can "support" Dabo, Biamou, etc too! To the point that I made my first ever tweet pointing this out to someone that was implying that his pathetic video proves that all Coventry City fans are racist. We don't want people like him as fans.

Could they not just have got the police involved? We look like a bunch of twats (at best) all over the news now, regardless of the chain of events. I said the two lads shouldn’t have turned up and should have been dealt with by the police, which they were / are.

I’m not comparing the levels of seriousness of carrying a knife to smashing some toilets.

As I keep saying, which you seem unable for some reason to comprehend, I didn’t.

The smashing of bottles was the bit going on in broadgate before. What’s the point in that?

The whole situation I said was another example of the situations we get which make us look bad.

Also, was it still ‘fronting up’ to them when the police arrived and they carried on throwing stuff at them.

You crack on though. I think its crappy behaviour, so I’ll leave it at that.

Rightly disghusted at the idiot trashing the BLM stuff - needs charging for whatever the law can get on him, an ASB ban from the town, and a life ban from CCFC. That much is clear.

Other story is not 100% straight forward why those lads were being chased and unfortunatley people hit the tweet button very quickly to spin things the way they want them to.

I'd urge waiting for the police to study CCTV and make a statement on what exactly has happened before drawing any concusions.

The 2 lads were definitely tooled up and not ashamed to tell people. They would of got chased if they were white.

That is the world we now live in though, when people immediately jump to conclusions and spread malicious gossip through social media.

People don't seem to want to wait for the facts and instead, seek immediate justice or retribution.

Doesn't look like him and why are people spreading something that identifies the man says he's punched this guy
(which the little story says is because he was raciust to him)

You might as well snitch on him directly to the dibble

Yep, I'm off facebook, twitter, Instagram and a whatsapp group with all my mates at the moment. Took a couple of days break from here as well during all the BLM protest stuff. Not read anything on here about it and won't be. Think I'm going to swerve here for a bit again as well until we see some signings and football news.

plenty of time to sort those weeds out then.... ;)

What's clear is the offical investigation is on going and as such it would be helpful for all parties to stop speculating. The likes of Gary Linaker piling in and 're tweeting is reckless in this climate. If anyone is on social media please send him the police statement as it contrasts vastly to the narrative he propagated.

Time for cool heads all round and not condoning or condeming fellow fans too fast. If those lads came to stab a city fan. The reaction, while wrong, has context. If it was just mindless racism there is no mitigation and the book should be thrown at their cowardly behaviour.
