Saw this video yesterday, was shocked at how the officer seemed to take great pleasure in what he was doing.. I kept waiting for him to actually take his knee off his neck and check on the man but It just became extremely uncomfortable to watch as it dawned on me he was never going to... Therefore he should be tried and charged with murder.. That's not manslaughter imo
Haven’t and won’t watch the video but agree, that’s murder and the other officers present are accessory’s to it.

The language or the fact that some believe in it. The latter especially true in certain areas of the US.

I don't think the label helps...certainly not with certain sectors of society where the idea of being in receipt of any kind of privilege is completely alien.....

.... "white bias" would possibly be a more appropriate term?

Strangely I had just taken some milk to my dad's house the other day for him, he has COPD, so I passed it through his window as usual and then he washes the bottle down etc... As I'm moving away a lady from upstairs becomes hysterical telling me I've broken lockdown rules... To which I replied that she was being a fucking fanny and should concentrate on not smoking weed around her 6 month old baby.
She phoned the police in front of me and became hysterical and panicky explaining to the officers that I was extremely aggressive... It shows the level of fucking stupidity in the world and how people will do anything to manipulate a situation to get what they want

Thing is the label comes from people who think they have/deserve it. Some wear it as a badge of honour in America.

Just watched it.... Very odd!!! To me It implies that middle class white Americans believe the NY police are institutionally racist and will act on the mere mention of a black guy threatening their life....regardless of the fact he was quite rightly asking her to put the dog on a lead. It’s behaviour by people like her that gets people like the guy shot!!!!
Around 50% of NYC police are non-white (Black, Hispanic or Asian).
That's actually pretty representative of the NYC population.
And it's a higher percentage of minorities than the US population as a whole.
The days of the all-white NYC police force have been over for at least 4 decades.
It's hard to believe there could be many racists in NYC.
Everywhere you are surrounded by people of different colours, races, religions and languages. It has to be one of the most diverse cities on Earth.
