Spent an hour or so today making this. Hope some of you wouldn’t mind taking a look. Yes I know the music is shite it’s just royalty free which means my video won’t be copyrighted for the music. Looking back at some of these goals and you see how much shippers has progressed. Cheers guys PUSB

By not moving on for the money and getting plenty of games under his belt, he's a much improved player...better maybe than $tevenson and Bay£iss.
Some great goals there

Don’t mean this as a slight on him but I don’t think there has been any serious interest. A bit like Hyam and Kelly who have also made lots of appearances in that time, solid perhaps unspectacular but needed in a team

A good description. Vital cogs in the well oiled machine.

Gets a lot of criticism on here perhaps got into the first team structure a year too early but he has improved every season. I don’t have any doubts he’ll kick on again.

Whether the stats back it up, i dont know, but apart from the assists, he does 'seem' to score more goals than the average midfielder

Great video - thanks for making it.
He scores a few good screamers from outside the box and a couple of headers, but what I like is the high number of goals where he is attacking the area between the six yard box and penalty spot - either by going behind the back four or making a late run into the box. His speed and movement making him difficult to track.
Well done Jordan.

Tbh when the ball comes out to shippers 18 yards out I do fancy him to score. Oggy says he should have more goals and tbh he should. He's actually quite a classy player

I'm also really surprised he doesn't have any other free kick goals since that Luton one which was his first for the club I think

I think that's fair Magwitch - and also it's only this season that Shippers has played in his more natural central position.

The Wembley goal is a thing of beauty, Shippers doing what he does best by surging forward into the right position, the reaction of our fans massed in sunshine behind the goal and the run to the corner flag to celebrate - boyhood dreams being realised right there for a Cov kid.

I met Shippers briefly last year at St. Andrews - really nice grounded kid and a credit to his family.

He dreamed to play for City, when he was just a boy
He signed when he was seven, and his heart it filled with joy
Now he's in the first team, his dreams are coming true
His name is Jordan Shipley, and he's City through and through
Allez allez allez!
Allez allez allez!

The assist for one of Godden's goals at Wycombe was as special if not more so than any of his goals. Not many players at L1 level could've pulled that off.

He's definitely someone you love to have in the squad because you can rely on him to come in and put a good shift in. Also useful in that he tries to push forward to get chances to score - we've lacked that for a while.

One thing I noticed, a few of his goals were down to him reacting quickest to the rebound. A fantastic skill to have.
I noticed that, too. I thought that being ready to react to the rebound was drilled into attacking players.

Mate of mine works on the coaching team at one of the top PL teams. He’s tells me that Shipley is highly thought of by other managers and has attracted interest but that at the moment he loves playing for us and doesn’t want to leave .

Going up will give us another season with players we'd have ended up losing otherwise, look forward to seeing what he does in the Champ

Not surprised, young goal scoring midfielder with experience and high energy. A type of poor man's Henderson and very much the modern kind of player. A generation back he would have been deemed not strong enough or not good enough in the air/tackling and whilst those still are his failings, they're not needed as much in the modern game.

Has alot of attributes. I imagine he's a coaches dream. He's bulked up a bit, more physical rather than the skinny lad who came through. Looks like an athlete now. Still can't tackle for shit but I've accepted that's not his game now. The outside of the boot flicks, passes show he is quite cultured. That goal against Lincoln is unbelievable, he ends that defenders career with that turn.

Final thought, his assists and goal numbers are great this season and when the going got tough and godden was injured, shippers stood up in Nov and scored some big goals whilst hiwula sat and sulked. I still want more from Shipley though

Bit of a box midfield going on for the German's in Euro 96 on ITV4, very effective: Eilts and Freund sitting deep in midfield and Scholl and Moller in the attacking mid positions supporting Kuntz (bastard....). What they're doing that we don't employ is a rampaging sweeper from the back 5, but then, we don't have Sammer...

I was debating the role of pask for us next season whilst jogging.

Actually debated the whole squad and who I'd keep and who I think we'll keep. Ran 8k and then forgot about Max!!
Ran 8k. If L1 is restarted you might make the bench. Fair play.
