Not even gonna give them the click. We should set up a thread here where we post latest articles, post the general content so no one clicks on their terrible click bait

Enough is a fucking enough of the telegraph now! I’m fucking raging. I work at JLR and the stress we are feeling (along with the rest of the country) if we have a job to go back to as you can imagine is stressful and mentally a strain to us all. I read a CCFC article and up pops a headline regarding “Mass redundancies at JLR” and my heart sank. For 30 seconds my world was in tatters as I though that’s it....when the headline loaded completely after all the ridiculous ads it was a headline from January in relation to the Halewood plant. Why the fuck was the headline anywhere near a new fresh headline from 8pm and how fucking insensitive at such a stressful time in our lives.

A message to the waspsagraph my family or myself will never fucking read your shite again. Your a disgrace.

This is the problem with clickbait. There's only so long it works for and when it stops working you've lost all your readers. The Athletic model is interesting. I'd be more than happy to pay a few quid a month for the Telegraph if the CCFC coverage was decent.

Local Sport and Local Politics is all that needs to be covered. The latter is met through the Local Democracy Reporting Service, just needs something similar for local sport but paid: a network of local sports journalists you could subscribe to to get decent coverage of every team above a certain level and other bits of local sports stuff.

This will not just be our paper that does it. The entire group of 'local' papers owned by the group will be exactly the same. Loads of click bait to get the ad revenue and make even the most tenuous local link to a story.

My old Ma has it delivered everyday and there is about 7 pages and most are advertising and the news in written by a 4 year old with my skills in comprehension and spelling. She only gets it to see who has died lol!
Heaven help you if you want to announce someones death! When my old dad died 3 years ago it cost my old Ma £146 for 2 nights in the fooking thing. Who remembers job night on a thursday and cars for sale friday! All the local dealers used to queue up by the offices on a friday morning to grab the first edition (fook me remember that in red at the top!)and snap up all the bargain Mini metros Maestros Vivas etc....:woot:

Before I left the RAF my mother in law used to post me the Thursday edition with the jobs section( as well as previous week's Pink) for me too look at.

Called one of the vacancies via speaker phone from the Control Tower.

"Hello, I'm calling about the position you have advertised in the Evening Telegraph'

"Great, which one?".

"The Network Analist"

"Analist?"

"Yes, that's what the advert says, Network Analist, thought it would be right up my alley".

Click, brrr...

You should post this on the CovTel Web site.

Wesley Jobello & Jodi Jones injury latest ahead of crunch Coventry City vote

Here we go folks. An update on Jobello, Jones and Bartlett injuries. (or so they have you believe) but no it's just the same article they've done twice before including quotes from Jones taken in fooking Feb

"I know I have to prove myself again but all I want to do is get back in the squad and get as many appearances that I can before the end of the season and help the boys get promoted."

I have already seen a draft copy of tomorrow's paper

Front page headlines are
Wasps Groundsman says Grass is growing nicely with the wet weather

Page 22 - 3rd column
Coventry football club 2nd rate , as they are allowed to enter the 2nd tier of Association football

Their article "Where should Coventry City call home" is trying to get everybody angry before we get some good news.

I bet them and the Trust are fuming about it.

I don't mind Tom

but this isn't the facts as he says. Being 5th on a bookies list isn't being in the favourites

He seems decent on twitter and almost acknowledges they have to resort to this new interest way of reporting. Shit like I posted though is shocking. Using the title jobello and Jones updates as sky blues may prepare to play on or whatever iit was, followed by Jones quotes about getting match fitness in a time when no one knew coronavirus existed is just shambolic

Oh look, it's Bobby again. Strange how he was furloughed for a few weeks but is now seemingly back to push Wasps bullshit.

Does he mention the indemnity in his article? I bet he doesn't.

It's as if he's just a paid comms guy for Wasps under the guise of working for the Telegraph.

The wording in that, is again so one sided it has wound me up on birthday morning.
Especially after my early present yesterday.
