A rare foray outside of electronica.. reminds me of the Three Tuns for some reason

If only it had been in Jordan Wells.
That original is lacking a bit of formwork!!

Edit:-
I thought it was Petra ,not from Blue Peter.
Just a quarry apparently. Lol

Been asked on Facebook to pick ten albums that have influenced my taste in music ? Rockblocks are tricky to compile but this is hard as well.
You have to choose one album a day for 10 days. I started day 1 with Fire And Water by Free. Day 2 I chose Led Zeppelin 2. Not sure which one to pick for tomorrow ? Maybe Live and Dangerous by Thin Lizzy ?

The Nice - Keith Emerson without doubt (in my mind anyway!) was the best keyboard player ever!

It's Toyah Willcox's birthday today. 62 and still as beautiful as ever. Here she is performing with her husband Robert Fripp (of king Crimson fame), in the kitchen of their beautiful house (which is very local to me). Incidentally, Robert played guitar on the original Bowie single of "Heroes".

Just bought some Camel CDs. I can't believe they passed me by. Wish I'd seen them in the day but at least I'm getting into something new, even though I'm out by a few decades!

Came back in from window cleaning today and put on the Greatest Hits of INXS. It's been in my CD collection for months unplayed, so thought I'd give it a listen. Never been a big fan but there are some good tracks on it. A charity shop purchase, and yes I now reckon they were a good band. Not sure if they are still going ?

I think they finished when Michael Hutchenes died

Currently listening to a bit of half man half biscuit myself.

Ha ! Dog - I can claim it’s early on a Sunday but I did buy recently the best of the faces ! And Humble Pie live at the Fillmore is a cracker !View attachment 15156
Ogdens Nut Gone Flake early Small Faces album, iconic cover sleeve. I had it years ago but lent it out and never seen it again. Lesson learnt, only lend out stuff you can guarantee you will get back !

I borrowed my mates sister the Bad Company album Straight Shooter some years back. I made the mistake of saying " no rush give it back in a month or two. " A year later I asked for it's return to be told she couldn't find it as she had moved house. I wasn't pleased but she seemed genuinely upset and so I said not to worry.
Anyway last year in a charity shop I looked through the vinyl collection, and in there was a badly scratched Straight Shooter album ! Only a couple of quid so even though it's unplayable it's in my collection and the album sleeve is in good nick. I often wonder if it's my original one ?

Over the years I have been selling off my vinyl and then buying cd's of the ones I really wanted to keep. Now I'm back into vinyl and still have quite a collection. Made £3000 selling my old stuff - most was £521 for original Nick Drake - Five Leaves Left.
Amazing what people will pay for old LPs.

I have a collection of about a hundred vinyl albums. I have been quoted some decent prices for some of them. The ones I expected to be valued highly were low, but a few like Trout Mask Replica by Captain Beefheart was quoted in the hundreds. Sometimes I feel like selling, but have held on to most of them.

IMG_20200528_132415.jpg OK, not exactly Coventry's finest as they only released this one single, but it is still ace.
