It would have been great to see it pan out normally, but the team have earned their place at the top with so much hard work over the course of the season, they, and us deserve to celebrate it properly, that's what I'll be doing if it is confirmed.
We have, we have been fantastic. To be honest I was nervous about the restart as we were unplayable prior to ending, I was worried that this could kill our form. To be honest I couldn’t care how we get up as long as we do

Can we wait and see what happens first?

This is making me more nervous.

I get told off for being premature quite often, so I’m going to hold off on the bunting and fireworks for now.

We all know what should happen. But once bitten, twice shy. I wouldn’t trust EFL to fart without shitting themselves.

Yep it’s Coventry city, we expect to get fucked over then work back from there!

Is it right an announcement could be made tomorrow or Tuesday? My neighbour told me his English team is now Sunderland after watching that documentary on Netflix, he has commented a lot about being able to hear me celebrating our goals, he’s heard nothing yet :D

Got to be imminent, just cannot see it go our way but money will be the deciding factor I guess

Women can be so cruel....I get a sigh and an “it’s ok ... I still enjoyed it” .. but a telling off!!! Jeez

I’d always had it in the neck for the efl. But when talking to dave and joy it sounded very much like they were a body that sought reasonable rational and logical solutions to sometimes insurmountable notty problems. I’d assumed they hated ccfc allowing Sisu to take them out of coventry but the story is so much more complicated than that. I think they’ll manage this situation as well as any other organisation has. Pretty sure in hindsight the decision to finish the season and a mixed ppg to decide on the top 3 will be agreed with very little disagreement

I was thinking a zoom call for a singalong and a few beers. Maybe get the drummer who plays at games to co-ordinate the singing. You can get up to 500 people on a zoom call with a pro account.

This should be the plan. Ask the club to get the squad to come into various zooms with fans in. You could set up say ten zoom rooms (5000 people capacity) and the squad drop in for ten/twenty minutes at each one throughout the day. Would be nothing like a proper celebration but I think it would be nice.

Or maybe a Facebook live event hosted by JD or something? Not sure what Fb Live is like in terms of features or limits.

Is it in that dismissive ‘don’t talk to me’ kind of tone. Like when they tell you nothing is wrong?
Haha...I’m sure it was.....but it’s been a while since I adopted the “picture you’re on top of a naked Peter Beardsley” strategy.

Lost interest when JD was mentioned I’m afraid.

With the new "guidelines" from the government, we could go to the Ricoh and, as long as we all, for example, stay in the confines of one parking space, either in cars or out, could celebrate whilst social distancing....
Would be a hell of a lot safer than some of the ridiculous VE day stuff I have seen!!

(To avoid giving Wasps money- people in cars ensure that they stay for no longer than 15 mins!)....

As long as everybody stays alert, we'll be just fine!!

There may also be the issue of avoiding the Covid testing area (haven't been past so no idea where it is and how it is working!)

What could possibly go wrong!!???

I really don't think this is a good idea. Even if social distancing is obeyed, nobody will believe it. Think it's likely to generate more bad press than good.

I hope we do get promoted. I will definitely have a glass or two.
Would be great to get videos of fans celebrating and words to say well done to Mark Robins and the players, I guess twitter and other media will have this far quicker than we could organise.

I’d love to take on but rubbish technically, is it something the supporters groups could gather or should we tweet the club about how we could upload our messages and they pull together a virtual promotion party video

All Walk to Gosford green and meet up ( daily exercise ) keeping social distancing of course, but with ONLY ONE member of your family remember, but if you do go with ALL the family and the police's ask just say, don't know them.

Let the party begin.

I find myself in a curious place of if we’re handed the title and promotion by one of the various possibilities already mentioned at the moment I feel like it will be an anticlimax. However at the same time if the season gets voided or we’re handed the title with no promotion I’ll feel like we’ve been robbed. Can’t see my mind changing on the later but my Sky Blue Army lager was finally delivered last night so maybe after a few of those I’ll be elated if it’s announced today that we’re promoted.

Sky Blue hair dye received today. All ready for the announcement and the hair will be Sky Blue. Actually more accurately the fur will be... because it’s for the dog. Houchen is blissfully unaware that in a matter of days his reputation will be in tatters as he sports a blue rinse until the groomers reopen.

Right then lads, all seriousness seems like Tuesday is going to be the day.

What we all doing? Smoke bombs? Piss up? Bearing in mind the 6 people allowed round rule now i feel it will be slightly more bearable and more of a promotion party!

Someone on another thread mentioned sky blue balloons being set off all around cov at a set time which i thought was a good shout?

One of the things I remember most fondly about 1987 was coming out of the station to walk to the City Centre and being met by scenes more suited to Turin.
The ring road and roads around the city were bonkers. Cars going around with people standing out of the roof lights, flags waving horns blaring it was great, totally spontaneous and inspired by joy.
Because of the need to social distance, any celebration is going to be difficult but a cavalcade of cars decked out in scarfs and colours (mine has a head start as it is already sky blue) touring the ring road and roads in the centre that are still accessible would perhaps be a statement of joy and one which would perhaps make the council take notice of what the club means to the city. If a time could be arranged that is not going to cause a snarl up in what passes for rush hour these days (an evening or a Sunday afternoon), then it can be seen as a harmless expression of pride in our team and a celebration for a wonderful season and achievement.

Thats a fantastic shout!.

So what can we all agree on? 3pm on the nearest Saturday everyone to release say 20 Sky blue Balloons? (For 2020 as the title winning year) and everyone let off their smoke bombs?

Followed by the car procession involving flags scarfs etc?

Anyone with any Ccfc Flag or scarf big or small to hang them out of windows?

And also as we say, maybe a massive zoom chat for season ticket holders with 1 or 2 of the players involved? Only saying season ticket holders due to amount of people, not sayin one fan is better than another
