Still don't think we will start up again. Scotland is going to finish 'as is' and use average point formula for final standings it seems.
Parry's ideas are just nonsense and the waiting around is killing lower league clubs off for good. Take the millions being offered now from those higher up the chain, why is he dithering.
Why even consider games behind closed doors? There is just 9 games to go.

Why are his ideas nonsense, Pax? Sounds entirely rational and reasonable to me.

Scotland haven’t agreed have they?

I did say Grenel "it seems" and tbh only one team is holding up the decision. Will it be a precedent?

Otis it sounds all plausable until you realise he is denying immediate funding for lower league clubs who are desperate for money to survive and the logistics of what he proposes really are blinkered at best. Not everything is wrong and some of it sounds reasonable until you think about it more. It would depend largely on what the lockdown situation is and that does not look like easing any time in the near future. I find it a bit of a dither when people want certainty to plan ahead and that requires tough decisions. Just my opinion of course. It's 9 left from 44 and you want all the goal post rearranged? We could come back lose Godden for the remainder of the season from injury, show a complete lack of form, and face sides doing the exact opposite. Not saying that will happen but it could. I think teams have faced some 35 games and do not deserve to have their fates risked by so many probabilities. Do the right thing, end it now and lets concentrate on next season and have the time to do that properly. What is it 125 m from the premier league to be distributed down the food chain? Imagine even 1m from such a fund would do for our bank balance! How do you cocoon players from COVid19? No crowds I get, but there are plenty of staff needed to open a stadium and make fit for football matches. The players must travel the country. TheY must return home to their families who are not cocooned. The referees, the bus driver, the tea maker, the TV cameraman, commentators and almost all associated personel will still be required. Has anyone asked them? Are they already furloughed? All the same people are involved just minus the crowd. You could go on and on. It's not as simple as 'BCD' as they think. Everyone is at risk. Lives are at risk. The logistics are nightmarish. Unless the government is going to completely lift restrictions in the next 2 months to give us any chance of resumption, then it must end now.

Godden could have broken his leg against Shrewsbury if the game went ahead - your biased and it’s skewing your view

BCD can work if every player is tested before the games.

Ok...forgive my dullness. Isn’t using an average point formula just the same as saying “as you were”, and ending the season with everyone in the same positions? Hope so!

I have thought and said consistently that the season must be completed. Yes I would be happy superficially if PPG were used and we were promoted, but would it be fair? Other teams' supporters would forever use it against us, and realistically I want to win the league in style, not be promoted on the back of an unfinished season. At my age I have seen more success than many supporters, promotion to the old Div 1, beating teams like Man United, Liverpool, & Chelsea in their heyday, The FA cup win, youth cup success which we have talked about in another thread, and even promoton 2 years ago from L2. All are memories I will never forget. Even the re-run of the Notts County L2 playoff second leg on BBC C&W today brought back so many good memories. I doubt I will remember this season for the right reasons if we get promoted on points per game. Just my opinion. If it doesn't happen because of injuries and loss of form, then we will go again for it next year. Those unforgettable and treasured memories are made of much more than just a statistic

Depends how many games some teams have played. Put it this way, Sunderland would be screwed

Of course chesterfield agree to void. They were pre season favs to win the league and are 2 places off relegation after a shocker of a season.

This sorta shit really pisses me off. I don't understand the rush for this at all i really don't

Where does a "promoted" National League team go if the EFL hasn't started because this season is being completed no matter how long it takes? And how would an eventually relegated League Two team from a much delayed EFL season drop into a National League that was already up and running? What a mess!

I don't think any games for next season will start until this season is declared officially over.

No way the Vanarama National League starts before the Premier League and EFL finish AND restart their seasons.
