As you say there is no procurement EU service, the US purchase is a US order placed some time ago - so it’s ironic James is now taking Mr trumps word as gospel and what’s more likely is he’s cancelling the orders as it seems is happening bwrerrn turkey and Spain - and other than Germany every country is short - regarding scrutiny that’s the job of real journalists at the daily briefings - perhaps he can get in and out forward a question

Rees Mogg has to be hidden, I think he'd be lynched if he showed his face after it emerged that his company (15% ownership I think) will make billions off the back of other peoples' suffering.
Patel is a total mystery, she's just disappeared completely and only tweets the odd "stay at home" stuff, which is usually responded to by a torrent of abuse along the lines of "where are you"

It's not a mystery why Patel has disappeared.
The very people she described as unskilled are now the people we are depending on.
She'd get the mother of all grillings if they put her in front of the cameras.
It's a shame, because I'd love to see her try and defend her prior stance.

You can research it if you like, its factual. As for the rest, not sure what your angle is- our reporting is weird and skewed, and people shouldn't have huge knee jerk reactions to one day's data. Different points.

But how could she defend it? How could she defend the deportation letters that were going out to people who we are now relying on to save lives? And the hugely embarrassing letters which had to follow extending peoples' right to remain in the country because they're NHS workers?
I obviously don't know if this is the reason she's being kept under wraps, but you're right that if she went up in front of the cameras she would face some very awkward questions for which she wouldn't really have an answer.

Looks like the mental health of many on here has deteriorated badly during a soft lockdown.
And things like this thread does harm in the battle against racism. Boris is a twat for listening to advice. Racism against Khan for mentioning he listened to advice. Scottish health adviser a twat for going to her holiday home. Racism against the Asian MP for mentioning he joined about 100 people at a funeral. It gives the racists ammunition. Just treat everyone the same. A little secret some people don't seem to understand. Black or white. Singh or Smith. We are all the same. But idiots infuriate other idiots.
Yes call people out for what they do. But please try and be consistent. It shouldn't be working out if someone is black or white. It shouldn't be working out if someone is Muslim, Christian or even atheist. An idiot is an idiot.

While the rest of the country has pretty effortlessly switched to working from home it seems MPs need an extra £10K in expenses allowance to do the same. At the same time rules will be relaxed so they don't need to provide any proof of what the money they claim has been spent on. Can't see any chance of that system being abused.

Someone on twitter put up a link to all declared payments received by all MPs in the last year, it was a big old document and it came to £millions, its actually obscene, the question is how come footballers became the target of all the moral objections
