On FM20 my next game is away at Wigan in the Championship. Want a match thread?

I've downloaded a level 13 of english footy database in FM20...it's insane,so many teams...some of the team names are hilarious i.e. Jolly Butcher fc,It Is It Is fc - I luv it (I'm manager of Staines & Kevin Gallacher's about to sign for me as a coach)

I heard on local news that Wolverhampton is a bit of a hotspot for this virus, it’s a city in itself but outside of the region is seen as part of the Birmingham conurbation as is Walsall, West Bromwich, Dudley and other towns. To link the spread of this disease to Muslim areas is pathetic but perhaps not a surprise, ask yourselves how many Muslims are there in Italy or Spain.

I wasn’t attempting to link the spread of this virus to Muslim areas, in fact if you
Read my posts you will see I was actually doing the opposite, (See Below)
The post of mine you’ve quoted wasn’t even anything to do with this particular
Argument ‘it was concerning something else entirely.

Also Bradford 135 Leicester 149 and Luton 116 all have sizeable Muslim Community’s but are all
Pretty low in Covid 19 cases compared to similar city’s, all lower than Coventry’s
So I would say the attempt at a tenuous link is a crock of shit.

A lot of agency were due to get proper contracts this year. They now have to be with the company 5 years to get a contract(which I dont agree with). We had a big meeting a couple of months ago and they were told they were being let go. They never said when though. I guess with what's going on the company have just decided to release them now maybe? Pretty shitty way to treat people. Your promised a contract after 5 years then when your approaching your 5 year your told your not getting one. I wouldn't wanna be a young un these days starting out.
Edit. That's if this includes your brother in law of course. I'm not sure if there agency at other sites.
That's not how I recall that meeting. I'm pretty sure management informed all agency staff coming up to 5 years that they would be extending their service by another 12 months instead of automatically making them up to 'core'.
I don't know what the outcome has been for those agency employees. I'm fortunate in that I've been with the company for 25 years.

Agency work is the biggest scam going by everyone aside the employees. The stories I’ve heard. Maybe second to bullshit “self employment” that isn’t.

Give your workers a proper job you scumbags.
Ed Milliband was right on tv on I think it was the Paxman interview when Cameron got sucked into Brexit. Brexit was not important, there were so many more day to day issues that needed fixing including the exploitation of zero hours workers. We've had it back to front since then. Hopefully this shit situation shines a light on what really matters.

You lot are like my missus. I’m fine honestly. I promise I’ll talk to a medical professional Monday.

I’m like you mate. Not registered with a GP since I moved. Been here 2 years now. Only registered before because the wife told me to. Not seen a doctor for about 20 years. Follow the “it’ll sort itself out” mantra. It’s scary to follow up on something like this, the anxiety of a basic check is the reason I’m not even registered. But the way things are at the moment it’s not worth risking it.

Maybe your right, cant really remember now tbh. I'm the same as you, been there most of my working life(26 years)so I tend not to pay attention at these big town hall meetings.

I agree in regard to training, but I'm not sure the furlough scheme covers non permanent employee's, also they will probably be offered the chance to return when things get going again, it's not like there is much for term to move onto in the meantime
I don't know anyone that's agency so I cant really find out. Hopefully the company havent shit on them. Hopefully it does cover those that aren't on permanent contracts. Funny thing is,people seem to think I'm being paid just to sit on my arse for a couple of months. We've got to pay these hours back to the company be it 50 hours or 150..

Good news we should Be following in 2 weeks

we will prob see Boris in 2 weeks then to claim the fame

Niall Ferguson said today we could see alifting on restrictions in 10 days when he thinks things could potentially start to plateau.
He did follow it up by saying as long as people keep following current social distancing guidelines. It could be a ruse to stop people taking the piss during the good weather of the next couple of days

We havent actually been told which. I had an email yesterday saying hr will be contacting us individually in the next couple of weeks to let us know if we are or not. But I check my wageslip online on a Tuesday and the hours we've been off so far are there as standown/banked hours. 70 hours think I owe them atm. It's a bit cuntish of the company to make us work them all back if we're on furlough. They'll try anything these days though to rinse more out of us.

New cases
Uk deaths - 708
New cases - 3735

:(

Sad to see high daily death figures (although not unexpected as these are likely to continue for a few days yet) but new cases are down on yesterday which is a positive. If they can stabilise and/or hopefully reduce then the daily death numbers should reduce in due course

ps as has been indicated by others previously the weekend numbers can sometimes appear a little out of kilter

These are 5pm Thurs - 5pm Fri I believe so should be “weekday numbers”. Tomorrow and Monday may be suppressed if the theory is right, see if we get a spike Tuesday.

This feels like the last few games watching City, never able to properly celebrate a win because you just need to look to the next three games.

Im a positive person however i think it will be how we are now for another 6 weeks then some loosening of the restrictions

I'd rather they waited until things were not just plateauing but on the decline

In a perfect world they would like probably to keep Solihull going and close the rest. Most car lines lose money and CB has the profitable ones
