Opposition players city fans hate (1 Viewer)

Bellamy was very much disliked.

Don't think I have ever booed an opposition player unless they have made a terrible tackle, or deliberately spat or thumped someone etc.

Hate every opposition player during a match, apart from that, couldn’t care less! Apart from Bellamy, he can do one.
I hated Bellamy just as much when he played for us as when he didn't.

Didn't everyone seem to dislike that geezer Mark Falco ,who played for spurs ?

Players I remember our crowd getting onto include 'The Guvnor' Paul Ince, Kenny Miller and Alan Shearer. Some of the worse grief though was to ex players with Dublin, Boateng & Sealey particularly getting it in the neck.

I always hated Jason McAteer, not for any CCFC related reason, just that he struck me as a whiny, whinging tosspot.

Oh, Frank LeBoeuf for spitting on the City shirt after they'd had to borrow our away kit (I hope I've remembered that correctly - must have been 25 years ago, so maybe not!)

You can't say all of them.
I'll start with the evil Nicky summerbee

Also never liked Ian Wright after stamping on oggys face and showing his arse to the west end when he was playing for west ham.

Spot on about Ian shite deliberately stamped on oggy. The season before at Highbury 'shite' had 2 1 on 1s with oggy and and the big man saved them both. In my mind he was inflicting revenge.
And the most annoying things my mum knows his dad.
He got fined heavily for showing his arse and calling Coventry fans w@nkers after the match. The prick said it was the best money he has ever spent. (Although I did think find that was quite funny)

I was behind that goal when Wright did oggy , while oggy was being treated Wright went and stood on the ( as you look at the pitch) left wing about 20 yards in front of the city fans trying to look cool while the ref and physios tried to sort things out but you could see the c**t was shitting him self.

There’s a quote which circulates on social media sometimes about Wright saying the best 5k he’s ever spent is for calling Coventry fans wankers

Same here. I was just 'warming' to wright about that time, too. Thought he was an annoyingly arrogant fucker, albeit a very good striker.
It was so clearly evident he kneed Oggy deliberately that I immediately went back to disliking him. Oggy's reaction when he went off for treatment (bloodied face and all) was like no other I'd witnessed, who'd been so badly wronged by a so called 'fellow pro' - Absolutely no incrimination towards Wright whatsoever. Biggest man on the pitch that day not just in physical stature.

Once it was Gordon Strachan when at Leeds
David Speedie when at Chelsea
and Dennis Wise also when at Chelsea.

Got to be Gary Megson for ruining the career of Dean Emerson - who was set for very big things.

(on a much lesser scale, most likely Paul Dickov....hated his attitude on the pitch......I also despised the attitude of the Man Utd players to referees under Ferguson.......in fact I hated Ferguson full stop...pound shop bully).

Yeah I was at the game too. 0-0 and it felt like we barely got out of our penalty area. Nasty by Wright...but wasn’t Oggy grabbing his leg to stop him scoring?
Memorable also for Dublin playing centre half and somehow clearing an effort off the line that looked destined to be a goal. A famous 0-0...I feel another thread coming on.

Think he is a great player but doing this is just beyond twattish. Just shows these young kids have too much money and are so far removed from the fans who in effect enable them to live this way.
After his PR regarding the NHS a couple of days beforehand, he just in reality stuck 2 fingers up to them and stabbed them in the back.
