Mega fucking panic would be an upgrade on couldn’t give a fuck TBF.

Young people aren’t immune and too many seem to think they are. Healthy people in their 20s/30s/40s will be hospitalised and die.
I've got family members who are worried sick, it's getting hard to keep people rational at the moment, hearing constant panic on the news isn't helping either.
If your fit enough and under 70 you will survive catching the virus, so why the panic, sure, follow guidelines, and dont mix etc, dont risk giving it to others, etc etc, but I'm more concerned with the state of peoples mental health after all this is over.

One of my closest friends works at UHCW as an occupational therapist for stroke victims etc.

Just received a message claiming 'been fully drafted in to the hospital now, seems like its beginning'

This isn't scaremongering by the way, its our local hospital where we would be treated if god forbid the worst happened, so good to know whats going on.

Not full or overflowing by any stretch, just that it seems to now be building

This is a difficult thing to police mind you, given it also includes people with underlying conditions. Now technically I have one, so would qualify for the 'old' slot (along with needing to shop for older relatives) but if I were to turn up then, I'd get some funny looks.

Therefore, I won't be!

But those who'd want to flout the rules could easily claim they were shopping for someone else? Sainsbury's I know were going to judge by the DoB you gave when signing up... but if you've just signed up in the past couple of days (like my parents have, if they'd actually listen to me for once!) how do you know people are being honest?
Not in Italy, customers line up outside supermarkets orderly in single file and two meters between each person

Thats not true. At all. There are loads of examples of people younger than that with no underlying health conditions that have died and loads more that have been in ICU, there’s also evidence of long term fertility problems and respiratory problems for those that recover. This kind of misinformation is what leads to younger people with the “fuck it I don’t care if I get it” attitude that will cause them to not follow guidelines as well.

Where are you hearing about fertility problems? I’ve not heard that!
Here in Warwick I’ve heard this morning that we have had the first death,
An elderly lady who was in the vulnerable grouping, (Not that that diminishes the tragedy to her and her loved ones in any way)

I have 3 young adults in my immediate family (all early 20’s). And I have to say none of them or any of their friends are taking this lightly, In actual fact Mrs fatso and I are desperately trying to manage their anxiety levels, Which is becoming more difficult by the hour!

Just tired and stressed out now. Been building Lego with my lad for the last 3 hours.

If you’re feeling like that mate just stop with the Lego, I’m sure your lad will understand.

Was here: Chinese scientists raise concerns over potential link between coronavirus and male fertility

Though seems it’s been removed: Unproven report linking coronavirus to male infertility removed - BioNews

Point remains that it’s a new virus and we don’t fully know the long term effects. You’re right that generally most will be ok both young and old, but the idea that young people are invincible seems to be behind a lot of the “Ill do what I want” thinking that’s so dangerous.

Fair enough. I think the problem is half the people have gone into panic and the other half have ignored it completely. So now the panicked ones are trying to get the nonchalant ones to take it seriously and in the process raising everyone else’s panic.

Not to be a dick but this is the kind of my mate says twaddle that should be banned.

The covi8lead in the west Midlands has said today west Midlands hospitals still gave enough capacity to deal with the cases at the moment

yes it was Mrs idea , we have had our haven trip to season sands cancelled at Easter next week so make best of it
Always had one for the kids. Wife even took kids away when I worked weekends. She used to love the look of blokes when she got in drivers seat. But you don't have to drive miles to have fun. Just being outside is great especially for kids. Eventually went to motorhomes as quicker and easier for wife to set up.

Just got a caravan to take to wife. Extra space for visitors and the 18 year old to get peace. Typical bad timing by myself.
