It's not just a game (1 Viewer)

In light of numerous Coronavirus, all threads now keep mentioning how it puts everything in perspective and is 'just a game' and less important.

If you're like me, then outside my family, it's the reason I get up, go to work to earn to pay for it and live and breathe CCFC.

I spend so many waking hours thinking about them, posting on here, on social media, being at games, travelling to and from games and talking football with family, friends and colleagues.

For many teams, this is possibly just another season, if this gets scrapped, then for us it's everything. Not only on the up, on the cusp of promotion, but I dont think we could repeat and I don't believe we'd last another L1 season outside the City. We lose the loans, undoubtedly our manager and best players and the upwards trajectory is reversed. So many years of misery, we simply have to finish this season.

If we dont, then what's the point in it all? Tbh without City, I might as well catch Coronavirus

If the season is voided, Sunderland fans will be renaming it Sweet Karma-19.

Sweet Karma-19/20 to be more accurate.

I don't feel sorry for these players, they'll get paid whilst being self quarantined, out of the viruses harms way, meanwhile the general public still have to go to work, and be at an even more risk of catching this virus.

My Grandad on his death bed - said "How did the City get on today?"
You have to have things in life you are passionate about - Family/Friends/job/Football team/hobbies - otherwise what is the point

How did they do that day? Hope they made him proud. I had an uncle that always said he refused to die until City won the F.A. Cup he passed away aged 89 in August of '87

Their bodies are no doubt better equipped to deal with ‘and beat the virus than most people as well.

I expect not a single one of their fans, even of an age, have any understanding of the achievement that surely will be now taken from us, what that feels like, and the very real effect it could have on us given our groundless situation. This has been a make or break year, and we will be broken. The situation in April will be worse (though probably less hysterical). This season's league will be voided.

Already mentioned on their forum. If the season is suspended, I hope they don't get their parachute payment.
