I'm hearing rumours football will be held behind closed doors starting this week end meaning Shrewsbury!
Also not to be shown in pubs and public spaces. There will be a plan for watching at home apparently.
More to come....

IFollow free to Season Ticket Holders according to the article.

What a bugger this is.

Maybe I won't get to see the City this season after all then.

Not a thing on BBC Sport football main page - surely they would have had that as a main headline (alongside Liverpool's exit!)

Sunderland's forum has it - so maybe true?!?!

If it’s got to be done it’s got to be done. What a ball ache! They’ll be clubs go out of business without help

Wonder how easy it will be to self motivate

It won't be easy because watching football on TV, especially city makes me want to drink. However considering our league position I'm prepared to get smashed, even on a Tuesday night for this club. I'm fully committed to the challenge.

If it’s got to be done it’s got to be done.

And yet nobody has yet quite explained why it has to be done, either in terms of the importance of the act vs allowing us to all be huddled together at work, in schools, etc or the actual severity of the disease.

I'm not convinced by the case for cancelling these events. A lot of the experts I've seen say the risk is very low. The virus is not airborne, so just don't touch people. Perhaps they could close the food kiosks.

I'm not saying I'm right, don't know enough, but just my take.

If it does happen - I will subscribe to ifollow for whichever City games they can screen (not interested in reclaiming money re: ST payment, given the current circumstances)

agree re season ticket
I am not sure what happens with prepaid tickets for away games -
Other things like concerts/shows etc
will be disastrous for the economy as a whole
I even heard in italy you cant even get a haircut - fine for corona, but what about the livelihood of the barbers and hairdressers

There's no actual source quoted in the article, it may happen but it's not confirmed. It reads like this us the contingency plan. They have Cobra meetings everyday as well so just because they are having on today doesn't mean a thing.
