27 points left to play for and 7 behind us (1 Viewer)

That's the reality of where we are at and what the others(except Rotherham) have to do

We have 30 points to play for

We have a game in hand and by that point it could be 10 points clear with 21 left to play for.

Long way to go but the bus is being polished as we speak lol

All the current play off teams have 9 games left. The best scenario I see is for a team or teams to win 6 games. 18 pts. So a total of 78pts.

We have 67pts with 10 games left. 4 wins gives us 79pts.

Chuck a few draws in and we’re good.

5 wins does it for sure...

Genuinely more worried about coronavirus than any team below us, none seem to be able to sustain the form that’d be required.

But also worried about the lack of worry and that we’ll get complacent and fuck it up. This season is not good for my anxiety.

Couple more days like today and even corona won't stop us

I get the nerves but we have to stop living in the past, it’s not 1997 or 2017, we are not relying on anyone else or losing every game, it’s 2020 and we are going through our second golden era, it’s a rebirth of Coventry City, and we all need to get on board and shout them home, and enjoy every second.

They haven’t let us down yet and I don’t think they’ll do it now, they’ve put too much in- I’m counting zero chickens but my confidence in this team and this manager is sky high- time to savour the finale.

If all the clubs chasing us get 2 points per game from now until the end, we would only need 4 wins to stay ahead of 3rd by a point

Same, should be enjoying every moment of it but I swing from confidence to worry in a second.

15 points will be enough to be sure

Would be good to get 7- 9 points from the next 4 games
takes the pressure off for the
Peterboro/Oxford/Gillingham games as I think there are enough points in the last 3 to ensure a small slip up in those wont matter

Wycombe win their game in hand of the others and they go second. That game against them is going to be vital.

There is still 6 teams that still leap frog us. It's got to be just a game at a time, tonight and the last couple of weeks couldnt have gone better for us.

We (really I'm talking about myself) need to stop looking at the fixtures and all the possible outcomes. Just focus on Saturday.

I'll be there and be doing my bit by wearing my sky blue boxers, unwashed since the Rotherham game.

Their game in hand is on Tues 24th March - away at the league leaders. What makes you think they’re going to win??

That is a good point

For some reason I thought they had a game in hand before our game in hand with them. I've been overthinking (or not thinking at all).

Portsmouth drew and Sunderland lost tonight so that is more points shaved off the chasing pack, one point in it from 3rd down to 8th! That is tight.
Be interesting to watch the dog fight from our promotion deckchair on the beach of champions

This weekend most of the play off pack should win their games. So we need to keep the healthy game going. Shrews will be a tough game. Funnily we haven’t been at our best against teams in the last few games but sneaking the wins. Need to up the anti.

Complacency is the only thing that might prevent us from getting autos but I’m sure with Robins in charge we will remain focussed. Although not being at our ‘footballing’ best in the last few matches we have remained solid and got the results required. The good thing about the mentality of the current team is the never say die attitude and the togetherness of the squad.
So another 3pts Saturday please and we can watch as one or more of the chasing pack make an unexpected slip up.

That is the mark of a winning team, Man U used to do it all the time. At least now we have tightened the defense and those games where we let in a last minute goal to finish with a draw and 2 dropped points are now turning into wins even though we are not setting the pitch on fire.
