At this level that's all it's going to attract realistically. When sales are forced through any mutual due diligence goes out of the window.
You always have to ask why somebody with no affinity to an area would want to take over a lower league club.

tbf sometimes it pays off (Southampton, Leicester) but there's little logic why, if you're not a fan, you'd want to buy one of the many basket cases lying around.

That Roland bloke was hounded out by the fans, they wanted anybody but him without thinking of the consequences. He got rid as soon as he could to whoever he could.

Madness. What are they blaming the EFl for though? If they'd have refused this guy taking over from Duchalet they'd have rioted.

Because it's easier to say EFL every time than think about things.

Can you image if the EFL said "no we wont allow this takeover".

This is the issue with people like the Trust who don't think and just shout.

Nimer later deleted the posts before Southall issued a lengthy club statement stating Nimer had failed to invest "a single penny of the promised funds" since January and had also failed to pass the English Football League's Owners and Directors' Test.

Looks like they will be up for sale again soon?

Random really as I am pretty sure Southall was saying how amazing the takeover was?

And he still owns the ground and training facilities.

By registration embargo do they mean player registration embargo?

Edit - they do. The Charlton fans assumed it was because the new owner had no money, that's probably true but also true that EFL has actually used its powers here in relation to being fit and proper and shouldn't necessarily be criticised.

Think they were blocked from signing a player.
