and it's all about results now. We haven't seen the fluid football we were seeing earlier in the season for a few weeks. But it's just about getting over the line.
You're spot on. They had a bit of possession and played some decent stuff but even though we were all having heart attacks with hindsight did they really threaten us, no, they didn't.

The fluid football changed around the same time as pitches started to feel the effects of Winter. I imagine it has been a deliberate change of approach by the management team.

Wouldn’t say we were too comfortable in second half, but I think after 70mins you could see the toothless Ipswich weren’t going to do anything. Still, never safe to assume with City.

I’d take 10 more 1-0’s in a heartbeat. I’m sure plenty of weirdo’s will still be happy for draws!

Yes you did, how can you deny it.

Your agendas are so bizarre.

Anyway I'm off to enjoy my evening safe in the knowledge we're top of the league (under Robins and not the apparently amazing Ainsworth).
He's moved onto ex-player Burge away from his favourite ex-player JCH (not mentioned for some weeks).
Very much doubt it, but suspect even Burge might have been better with this defence in front of him. Don't think the defence would be quite so confident with him behind them though!

don't normally go on the Sunderland forum but fancied a bit of Mackem porn. For those who want to go straight to the money shot it's post 857 on page 44 of match thread.

‘Their shithousery caused the extra injury time, and they use it to score.

No justice.’

Is my favourite. Always the victim, it’s never their fault.

there's some absolute brain donors on there, there really is.
Coupled with their misplaced sense of entitlement it's comedy gold.

I thought this. Someone a couple of pages later call football a cheats game too. They're absolutely imploding and I'm smiling ear to ear

I'm honestly gobsmacked what we have done this season under the circumstances we have had to deal with. Should have had the TV cameras in, feck sunderland.

Entitlement is spot on. By far the financial powerhouse of this league, spaffed millions on players, nicked Willis, tried to nick Robins and fabricated a rivalry with us.

Glad we beat them, glad Gillingham equalised at the death to widen our lead at the top of the table.

No mention that they themselves are shithouses too. What goes around, comes around...

they are hardly a financial powerhouse they have had to borrow off an American investment firm £10m and offered the stadium as collateral - they are all but bust
