Rotherham - "Coventry will be champions by a distance."
Pompey - "Coventry well in pole position for the champions position"
Wycombe - "I've got Coventry winning the league"
Sunderland - "Coventry are no big shakes"
Oxford - "only lost 3 all season, think they’ll win the league with games to spare"

I'm still at the stage where I don't know what to think as I've never in my 35 years of existence experienced Coventry city being top with 11 games to go.

I keep waiting to fuck up, but they aren't.
Surreal

So all I'm saying is... Hopefully they are correct

Teams can play average or below their usual standards and win matches... See Coventry and Liverpool for examples of this this season and especially today.

It doesn't mean we are poor, it means they couldnt beat us despite us being below our best

We've just taken 7 points from Rotherham pompey and Sunderland... A poor team wouldn't do that

It's impossible to blow every team away with the slick football we usually excel at for various reasons.

Pitches aren't great this time of year, players getting tired are 2 factors but more times it's because opposition deliberately set out to prevent us doing it - as with today & vs Rotherham, Portsmouth etc. They press high, play physical, use deliberate spoiling tactics etc.

The mark of true champions is to stand up to these challenges & still find ways to win, that's exactly what we're doing.

we played well today
limited them to maybe 2 half chances
Soaked the pressure 1st half , controlled the 2nd half

Sunderland were long ball anti football

Can everyone please stop mentioning Sunderland fans. It upsets The Coventarian who is passed his bedtime and unable to bash the keyboard whilst wanking off with his other hand at being able to swear at an adult

Rotherham fans seem to think ours and Pompey’s game in hand is against each other and that it’ll help them out big time. Hmm

They came to stop is playing our usual game and it worked, so credit to them for that, but that’s about all they did. We found another way to win and that’s why we were the better team.

They’ve got posters on their forum saying they dominated the game, should have had a nailed on pen and their goal wasn’t offside. They’ve got some special characters on their forum that’s for sure.

No, we sold McNulty to them.

We sold Burge and Willis to them (technically both were out of contract and chose to go there instead of resign). McNulty was sold to Reading and they loaned him to Sunderland.

We're a good side in this League.
Don't get to the top or only lose 3 games at this stage of the season by being ordinary.
It's about winning games even when you're not at your best.

We have a long long way to go! Usual after game reactions from Sunderland and I bet it hurts, we would be the same. Haven’t seen the game or highlights since coming back so not seen any of the penalty shouts etc although certainly comfortable with the offside. For me Robins was smarter than parky today, tactically out thought him and stopped their key assets. This game was never going to be the free flowing game like last year at the SOL and we didn’t want it to be that way. We weren’t great today in terms of pretty football but every man knew their role and performed it well, that’s the sign of a decent team.

we still have a long way to go and need to grind out these results. Would anyone took 4 from 6 out of those last two games against Rotherham and Sunderland, hell yes I would have
