The defenders we brought in, or the defenders we took out?
easy question I assume!
You can vote for 2 ( a pair )

The recruitment has been so good in defense and midfield that not only are they more than good enough for L1, but they are also good enough for Championship level too.

not sure i agree with that.

Mason, Kelly, Westbrooke, Shipley, Allen, McFaz....suspect they may struggle in the championship

Mason doesn’t feature. McFaz is good enough, as is Dabo and Rose. Agree with Westbrooke, but he’s young. Agree with Kelley. Allen could do a job. Obviously Walsh and O’Hare are but they aren’t our players. Shipley has the potential but needs to step up.

Two of those players have more Championship experience than most of the whole squad put together (McFaz and Allen)

Ignoring that both Allen and McFadz played there and survived with the mighty Burton of course

who's ignoring it ?

McFaz will be 34 next season and Allen isnt even into double figures for games for us this season is he ?

I'm not saying they wont contribute, but suspect we will struggle if we are relying on these players

Liked Davies but not as good as the other 3. Happy wity any 2 of those 3. Note youve omitted Hyam who is the Rolls Royce in terms of being a player, but also think with Willis's pace he'd have fitted great into our back 3.

I assume TLS has come on to vote for Davies? I loved him but we have a different class now. Let's not forget Hyam too who we picked up for the development squad in league 2 and has now played almost two entire seasons at the back rarely dropping below a 7.

Willis has the speed to recover from errors, McFadzean is taller and probably a bit stronger. McFadzean is the organiser of the back line, but Willis was captain while he was here. Willis is also be younger but does seem to get recurrent injuries from time to time.

It's a close run thing but as we know how Fadz plays in this system but not Willis, you've got to stick with what you know..

Te difference is Willis’ distribution is really poor. Watch on Sunday how many times he’ll take a touch to the right and then just play it down the line for someone to run onto. He’s a brilliant athletic defender but doesn’t fit our current style.

Agree with this. Can be dominated by big, powerful centre forwards too, that's where McFadz is a class above.

That said, I think Willis would work well in the 3, especially adding that extra pace. in fact I thought he was at his best on the right of the back 3 with Reda & Ricketts for that short spell.

Hyam was not sold, nor was bought therefore not in question

Many years of mediocrity with Willis in the team.

Good player, great servent but glad he left. Didn't fit into the side.

Clearly did then as we fibished 6th and won playoffs

Add in chdcktrade final where we assisted a goal not sure how can call his time here mediocre

Our team is ever revolving look how many are regulars now who weren’t here last season when we almost made the play-offs, add to them the successful loans of O’Hare and Walsh and the emergence of Westbrook and Shipley the successful injury return of Max Biamou and fingers crossed for Jodie Jones the same will happen next season, I’m certain homework has been done but which way MR goes obviously depends on what division we are in.
I have every confidence in Robins doing good astute business again with permanent and loan signings.
This year he has replaced a million pound+ player in Tom Bayliss and will do the same with McCallum who didn’t play until this season.
