Someone told me that the chorus sounds more like
I'm Blue and I'm in need of a guy

and once you've heard it you can't unhear it.

The songwriters on this thread just need to concentrate on the following lines to:
"Hyam the one and only" by Chesney Hawkes, suggested by someone on this site.
I actually heard someone shout it out at stans and I will not look back on our season at st Andrew's as a complete success until I hear a full version of this.

Hyam's the One and Only
Nobody we'd rather see
Hyam's the One and Only
And he plays for Coventry

We're going to win the league
We're going to win the league
And are you going to believe us
And are you going to believe us
We're going to win the league.

I know it's an old one, but the old ones are the best .

1) Man Citeh replay in FA Cup 1995. Losing 2-0. The city fans endlessly singing “Cos after all/ You’re my Alan Ball” we would occasionally retort with “after all/ you’re gonna win fuck all”.

Anyway at that moment I was inspired by the Oasis/Blur rivalry to hit back at the Rusholme Ruffians with the following (to the tune of Country House)

oh, we’ve got Big Ron
and we love Dion
We’re Coventry
We play in SkyBlue
And we’re better than you
We’re Coventry.

I didn’t really expect to be acclaimed for my wit and wisdom by being raised shoulder height by the SBA in recognition of my zeitgeist capturing moment. Wisely as all that happened was silence.
... absolute tumbleweed.

Never ever tried anything like it since.

2) someone on GMK in the Mowbray season suggested the following work of genius. Afraid I can’t remember who it was (and all of the details) but it was a cracker. To the tune of The Killers’ Mr Brightside.

Lee Burgey/ Chris Stokes is our number 3/ (Something abt Willis and Reda Johnson by his side/ captain Ricketts will abide/)
O’Brien, Fleck and Vincelot
Maddison has got the lot
Armstrong and Ramieras wide
We’re League One’s best side!

Obviously it never got sung.
