Rochdale are a difficult side to play. On their day they can beat anyone in this league. Not easy this one.
I do think we have enough and if we play to our strengths will come through. We just need to keep our feet on the ground, not expect to win and fight hard for it.

1-2

Happy to play same 11 as Saturday and then mix it up later if need be. O'Hare still seems to be most effective off the bench and swapping to two up top later in the game is also working in our favour.

I agree with others that McCallum could do with a rest soon, especially with the games we've got coming up, and I'd like someone else, be it Mason or Giles, getting some decent match minutes as part of the back line for familiarity and getting up to speed.

Expect it will be closer scorewise than we'd like as per usual but hopefully we'll be able to grind out another win.

I think he is two bookings from suspension Eakin mentioned Saturday that it had to be league bookings and he is now on eight.

Regarding Rochdale, play our best eleven, no good “resting” players for Rotherham, take the next game as the most important and that’s Rochdale, get the game won and move on.

He's on 7, so 3 more bookings needed in the next 8 games for him to get a 2 game ban. Touch and go...

It was this lot who actually played some really good football in the reverse fixture wasn't it? Came and passed it around, seemed to surprise us and went 1-0 up. Had Drysdale and Eccles starting so it wasn't our strongest team but took us a while to take control. And then Walsh got it on the halfway line in the 2nd half...

They've played 5 of the current top 9 at home and lost them all so I expect us to win (feels ridiculous being able to say that and not be completely insane). Main reasons being a) we've not slipped up against lower teams anywhere near as much as we normally do b) they won't have played in 11 days so could be a bit rusty and c) a full week's rest will have done us good

3-1 City

Rochdale! It's cold there in the summer!

I prefer Ohare from the bench, running at a tiring defence. As long as it's done early 60 odd mins. So he can make an Impact.

I'd start with same team as Southend.

Then Allen, Ohare and Biamou to give it everything and cause havoc last 30/20 mins.

Stay solid at the back. Win this with a bit of patience.

Would think Giles will play some part

Be interesting what team is selected last week it was game of two different halves weather wise, usual defence for both so don’t see a change there and then Shipley & Westbrook first half neither were spectacular but did their jobs in difficult positions we dominated & hit the woodwork twice they were replaced not long after half-time when we changed tact played more long ball & conceded posesssion in midfield but it worked and our substitutes won us the game. I think if weather is basically okay and everyone fit MR will revert to Allen & O’Hare to start.

Any insight into the position he’s likely to play? He must be close if he’s not getting U23 minutes.
Not really sure
Think he'll be looked at in training games where different systems are tried out
It's hard for any player to break into a team that's on a winning run
Mccullum did it through how he looked in these training games
