Was told a figure for Stans but not sure I believe it. In any case the only thing I can add is that the 2.5m would include extra office space and bringing the club shop back to the Ricoh. Make of that what you will.

It used to take me about 1.30 to drive to Ricoh, (well park in Blackburn Rd) then 10-15 minute walk up to stadium.
It now takes just over 2 hours to Maxstoke Rd (near HMS Forward, off Garrison Lane) about 5 minutes to Peaky Blinders bar (nothing to do with Peaky Blinders by the way. But good music and beer) so a little more awkward. Not happy about it, but I do it now and then because if I didn't I couldn't see us play at "Home"! people who dont want to go will make all sorts of excuses, those who do will just go. saying otherwise is pure bull shit.

I went to watch Coventry for 50 odd years because its my local team, take it away and then its not my local team, if I wanted to just watch good football in Birmingham , I could go to Villa Park or West Brom or Wolves and watch the stars of Liverpool or Man City or Man U or Arsenal, I don't go because I don't want to spend my leisure time in Birmingham every other week , I go to my local pub because its round the corner , I use the supermarket near me , my doctors is in the next street and the local chemist fetches my prescription for me , I don't need an excuse not to travel to the next city to watch football , while 2 hedge funds and a council are racing to the bottom in the name of all they are suppose to represent, call them bullshit excuses if you want , I call them a fact of life

Basically you can't be arsed and have a ready made excuse, while loads travel from all over the place to watch their club. Don't come up with nonsense about the council & all that garbage, just say it like it is, you'd rather be in the local than going to support them.
