I'm hoping we win next week at Rochdale and get that cushion of points before those really tough games with Rotherham and Sunderland to come. You just sense something will have to give in those games so 3 points at Rochdale please.

The most recent form over the last 5 matches is the most telling. Please keep it up City and we are there!

We top the form tables for the last 5 games, the last 10 games and the last 15 games.

To get the 83 points required (by some estimates)

We need 26 points from 14 matches
Evo we are really picking up and getting into top gear mate this is our time :)

Guess the issue there is we could lose 4 games either against randoms in mid table or lower or against those also competing for the top 2. That will settle whether or not 83 is enough

I have a feeling we will W 7 D 5 L 2 in the last 14 games, no idea who against but that would give us 26 points so hopefully that’s enough! Wembley is a nice day out but I would rather go up without the play off worry!

9 wins, 4 draws, 1 loss. Leaving us on 88 points and champions.

Oxford were above us just before Xmas. They have stuffed themselves selling their 2 best players

We have 14 games left and need to ensure 50% of the games are wins at least. Need to get 7 wins clocked early on.

I said we’ll get 81pts a few months ago. if we go like we have we look like getting 83/4 points. I’m hoping 8 wins 2 draws and 4 defeats but who knows.

yeah having players in your team who you know are good is worth a lot. How many times have we sold our best player then wasted the money or 2-3 new signings

Our away form transformation has been amazing, couldn’t buy a win early in the season now top of the form leagues

Oh I agree but we must take the foot off or underestimate..

On Tuesday the body language of the players at the end told me that beating Pompey convinced them 100 percent they could get an auto spot.
It was great to see but being a Cov fan I had to see a negative and started worrying that they might get complacent!

Yesterday's performance told me that won't happen, hopefully I'm right.

I was massively impressed with their attitude yesterday. Given the weather (keep mentioning it, but it was crap), the fact it was an away game at a small, compact stadium against a team we ‘should’ beat. It was a different kind of test to the Portsmouth game, and one that the Coventry of recent times would likely have made hard work of. But the players were excellent in their application. Determined and focussed. They didn’t assume it was there for the taking, but on the other hand they never once looked in doubt. They believe.

They are displaying many of the attributes required for a winning team, and this is why I personally think we can do it this year. The one main attribute required now is consistency — nail that and it’s our title.

Happy days.
