Got both Netflix and Prime. Have to say range of films is better on Prime (and it has Vikings!).

You should have prime video too though. They are sneaky by putting stuff in there that is basically for sale but when you're on there you can select 'prime only' or something which won't display things that you have to pay extra for.

Just sign in to your amazon account. You already have prime video.

My wife has Amazon Prime for the deliveries, so I just use the free video off the back of it. Netflix is good (kids watch their trashy US Nick jr shows) and I like the new series and original films. I also pay for Sky Cinema for the stuff in between.

it sounds a lot every month but you can get other perks with it (Amazon) and all 3 together are still only the price of 2 cinema tickets.

It’s like sky movies. Some brand new stuff you have to pay for but the rest you’re already paying for. Netflix, NowTV, Hulu or any of the others aren’t going to have movies that have only recently come out.

Its confusing because they have more than one service. Amazon Prime have their streaming service, but you can also rent or buy movies. Now TV is the same, if you subscribe to the Cinema package you get access to their available films but the newer titles you would have to rent or buy. Netflix don't do renting or buying so that's more straightforward.

If you want newer films you're probably best off with Now TV but its the most expensive option and its split into films and entertainment so if you want movies and TV you're paying 2 fees every month.

You can also get Netflix and Now TV (which is essentially Sky Cinema) direct through Sky Q. That can save you money rather than buying each separately.

Obviously Prime is standalone, and as Dave and Liquid said - you can buy these ‘premium’ extras which are early releases etc apart from Netflix.

Unless you are desperate to watch stuff that is barely out of cinemas then you can probably cover most angles between the 3 main ones.

Shit! Am I thick then as I have the basic Sky package (as I’m limited to signals/fibre optic etc isn’t available where I live as it’s very remote) and also subscribe to Netflix.
So if you subscribe to Sky does Netflix come free with Sky then without having to subscribe to Netflix?

You don't get Netflix for free automatically but you can get it bundled. I had a separate Netflix sub that was the usual £8/9 per month but Sky had a deal where you could add their box sets for £3 which also included Netflix so I basically cut the price and added all the Sky stuff to boot, price guaranteed for 18 months.

I'd definitely give them a call to see what they'll do
