Newton looks decent at LB, confident on the ball, strong for his size and not afraid to get stuck in. Kastaneer has lost possession every time he’s had the ball, no exaggeration. Not a lot of note happened thus far
How's Jones after the knock?

Overheard quote of the day.

“Bakayoko, I thought he was pushing 30, he’s only just turned 23. Hard paper round”

1-0 Ipswich. Playing out from back, Williams pass put Eccles under pressure, lost possession. Good series of passes and a decent top corner effort for the goal

I thought he had left?

I heard they abandoned him in a cardboard box in a Salisbury layby, Played a few games for them to pay for his train fare home. The dutch are very much like cats being able to find their way back. Robins has to play him now or he will go to the papers.

Nope, the club have been trying to get rid of him for about a year and a half now. Either there's no takers at all or he's happy to see out his contract here on considerably more money he'll get playing anywhere else. Won't be on much at all but we've still paid his wages for 2 years after knowing he was nowhere near the standard required even at 23s

1-0 halftime. Newton looking good, impressed with Eccles too looks confident. Young up front done very little, Jones playing a O’Hare-esque position behind him

Think we have a 1 year option from what's been said. Wonder if they'll take that route to see how his injury recovery progresses?
No option on Jones
Robins has said he was wrong in his earlier interview
Jones has said he wants to stay though

2-0 Ipswich. Weak, gappy defending led to a nice slotted through ball. Pass across the box to unmarked man, easy finish

These games will just get jones Upto speed I can’t see him being far off the first team squad now problem is will he get in
We've got something like 9 games in 33 games coming up
Chances off the bench are bound to present themselves

Agreed I also do think he will be a lot better with better players around him as mentioned on this thread must be hard work for a payer like him trying to make things happen etc at the level.Seems like the knee has healed correct this time also, would like to see him a week Saturday in the first team squad I think he will be brilliant in the number 10 role always felt h would be better there than the wing picking the ball up deep in between the lines,Godden will also benefit with a fit Jones behind him for sure.
