Honestly, I think the best thing we can do is just ignore him. Let him say what he wants to say...free speech and all that.

Lets focus on what we can control, rather than what we cannot. I think people are starting to see the wood through the trees (or whatever that saying is) which makes his statements stand out even more. Leave him to it, don't bother engaging.

He'll get bored if no one interacts.

Sadly though, he's now the voice of the Trust and strangely the one speaking to the media. Now the Indemnity has been pointed out, he is strangely trying to ignore this to just go on about building a new stadium.

CJ seems to have vanished.

It really is pathetic. We know the same as they do there will never be a new stadium. They must assume either people are deluded or it's simply another childish stick to try and beat SISU with rather than trying to bring factions together for the greater good. He's the newest face too, the one that was going to help change things but is as bad or worse than the others. It really is beyond ridiculous that they're supposed to represent us. Petty, self serving and downright disruptive.

Nothing on this week's Totally Football League podcast about the statement, but they did do a specific review of the Brum game (the link below should take you straight to that part) in which they say off their own back that the situation is ridiculous and we should be in Coventry. Also very complimentary about us on the whole regarding the football side of things.

The purpose of the trust is to improve fan involvement in running the club. That’s why I’m not sure campaigning is their best use TBH. Reflecting the opinions of the fan base should be though.
Problem is that they want increased fan involvement, but all they’re doing is pushing against the owners - if anything they’re moving further and further away from fan involvement

Yeah that’s what I mean about campaigning, it’s pushed them away from the Owners chasing a dream at first it seems of getting an owner more open to fan involvement, but in the long run it’s not helping their aims.

Of course, it should be their main priority to speak to fans etc.

They have drafted in somebody who has a PR company but it has backfired it seems.

Maybe I'm being naive but hopefully the essence of this week and what 'we' have done, will be start of dialogue with all of the board of the SBTr - not just him.

We shall see.

None of them have any interest. Even cj has vanished.

It will be the same as every other time, they will act like victims, spin some stuff again and then reappear when they are asked to.

You just have to look at the stuff Neil is coming out with to see they have no interest in what people think or want from the trust.

He actually seems to being coached by Ginetta which is very worrying!

No change there, it was funny watching them feed him facts before which were completely wrong and because they were nasty SISU ones he believed and repeated them.

This is why he won't engage, every time he does everything he says just loses them more credibility.

Where are all of the other board members and why don't they discuss anything?

He's playing the 'they're both as bad as each other' line. Only one can bring us back to Cov and it isn't the one they're focusing on.

The thing I find irritating is if the trust met the club/SISU under NDA. It would be turned in the huge issue and how bad it is that we can’t hear what was said. But with wasps and so on it’s fine.

All they have to do to get an open meeting is send them an open letter promising negative press and protests if they don't meet.

Exactly, it would be in the telegraph with "SISU silence fans group" as a headline.

They genuinely don't seem to be able to see anything from outside of their 5 or 6 people.

He said they wont call wasps out as they want to communicate and not shout at people, within about 5 messages he was back to shouting about SISU.

They seem to assume people are thick.

As it goes. Where’s your best mates - they’re normally chiming in now

Orca is having a lie down. James and salop will belong soon

Salop was SSB on the Cov tel site. Was bugging me that

What's he saying?

To sum it up, he's trying to bullshit his way out of condemning Wasps.

He is just randomly replying about stuff that isn't related. Also playing the victim act a lot without actually backing it up. He seems to see being corrected or asked a question as him being "attacked".

Like CJ, he is just there to reel this bullshit off while everybody else from the Trust Board stay quiet in the background.

Then we (hi Pete) need to keep banging that drum in the media about working together. They're not going to want to hear continued 'they won't speak to us - arguably the largest CCFC fans forum' in local media over a period of time.

I hear what you and G are saying but surely there will come a point were they will *have* to engage in dialogue with representatives of here or elsewhere. It's surely the only way they can survive going forward.

We need to stop all this 'yeah but they won't talk to us' and the 'look what so and so is coming out with now on twatter'. I believe, rightly or wrongly, we need to have some sort of plan in place to engage in discussions with them on how we unite the fan base (as much as we can) going forward.

If you offer a petulant child who won't listen, some sweets, they listen. It's how you pitch that which is key. This 'support us in getting Wasps to drop the indemnity' obviously isn't working.

Constitutionally, the Trust isn't working as well as they think they are. Let's use the knowledge and ideas from here to put something more robust that we can take to them in a more structured manner, rather than constant back and forths on Twitter and on here.

What we need is another press statement that would be agreed by the trust? Maybe reiterate their letter and imploring Wasps to respond. Or we suggest that Coventry fans won’t be as receptive as before?

go with Neils idea that being positive is more helpful? We then send it to Neil for his agreement? Put it to the trust?

Exactly. The statement wasn’t meant to be used a weapon to beat the Trust with. Stop the dull point scoring and let’s be constructive about the “what happens next”.

He is just making things up now.

He has no interest in engaging or working with a wider range of CCFC fans. There are people on here offering their help all the time.

The thing is though they have no interest in working with fans outside of their group.

I have tried over and over again to get them to try and build some sort of bridge with the Trust and members on here. I have offered moderated forums where a section with constructive views and ideas can be made. People can put forward discussions for upcoming meetings etc.

It's like banging heads against a wall because they have no interest. Whilst people like CJ say it's a great idea there are others who have no interest in working with other fan groups / forums in the slightest and they seem to have the overall say.

When MMJ's fundraiser was going on, it was a battle with them to even tweet about it. CJ said he had to persuade them to tweet about it.

The trust have one aim. To install Hoffman as owner of the club and see this as an opportunity. It’s very obvious and I’ve always said they should just admit it and sell it to the fan base. Instead they pretend the “hold everyone to account” nonsense - they should just make this position clear and move on

One of the Trust board has had discussions with Wasps about a Phoenix Club playing at the Ricoh. Surely that's worrying in it's self?

Again, just seems to take being questioned as abuse.

He wont be able to back up these abuse claims, he just has no interest and wants to act a victim because he has no answers.

Fair points and great actions on your side.

Was this all done over electronic comms?

I'm not saying it would necessarily make any difference but would setting up a meeting with a number of people from here and the SBTr board be a better way of moving forward? At least that way, get everyone around the table and have constructive discussions. Using the info you've previously given, taking some suggestions to them, listening to their aims/goals (don't laugh) and see if we can support in a better manner.

Not necessarily easy to organise but I'd be happy to facilitate.

Anyway, maybe I'm jumping ahead as I think Pete is waiting on responses from other parties with regards to our statement this week before looking ahead at next steps. Working WITH the trust seems logical. I appreciate it wouldn't be easy to get them to listen but that depends on what we take to them and just as important, how we take it to them.

For god sake man...let it lie...leave him to it!!! :)

His last sentence is telling...seemingly an olive branch for some common ground. Maybe we don't roll you out early doors ;-)

You say leave him to it, he posts mistruths constantly. It's very dangerous surely?

I am more than happy for somebody else to speak with them and even moderate a section on here for them if they are going to actually use it and engage.

Don't hold your breath though, they will just say everything they can to stop being questioned. It is the same as happens everytime, even to the point of the victim act.
