Didn’t agree with attacking fans who have tried, but got to say well done on following this through guys. Always a fan of people self organising to get a voice even if I don’t agree with what they’re saying. It’s good for society.

Top work Pete.

I totally agree that this has been a superb effort by those involved. We seem to be just drifting into permanent exile and potentially oblivion. We have invested too much over the years to allow this to happen.
Well done to all involved and hopefully the key parties will take action.

great work all involved

Might be worth tweeting/email national journalists who have covered the story before and general football writers and so on.

only takes one of them to pick up on the story.

Have tried to clarify that it isn't speaking on behalf of all fans. It can only represent those who voted and isn't trying to say "every CCFC fan thinks x,y and z".

If people want to agree or disagree with the points and they haven't voted or never been on here, that's fine.

Not trying to represent every fan.

Simon asked about the 7500 figure and I’ve clarified that it’s the number of members of the site and asked him what he intends to do with the statement in addition to posting on twitter

les reid has said he will be doing a story with ours and the trusts and I may give him some more detail if he asks

Simon Gilbert has said midlands today retweeted and has passed the statement to the various desks at the telegraph.
He was clarifying the 7500 members figure which I did and explained that’s why we did the survey and although we have many different opinions on the past we agree on the present needs for the club

Don't know if anyone already done this but I've just emailed it to the Totally Football League Podcast. They've spoken about our situation before and actually seem to care, figured they'd be responsive to this sort of statement
Was just about to suggest the same, as catching up on this thread. Well done!

I've retweeted too and asked from retweets from famous followers, to spread the message as far and wide as I can.

Well done Pete.

Gathering pace now guys, great work.

I've messaged lots of football writers, podcasts, other fan groups with large followings and so on. Fingers crossed some bite.

Henry Winter has put out various things about our plight before. Fingers crossed.

Nick, do you know how many people have logged in to the site since the poll was opened and how many people have actually looked at the vote thread? Knowing those numbers might help with the challenge of the proportion of the total users who supported the statement is brought up. If all 7000 odd have looked at it the “5%” comment might be fair comment, whilst obviously if only 500 have looked at it there is a different spin on things.

As I said, the issue isn’t the sample size but the sampling method. There’s a good argument that only those that agree with the sites overall position stick around and therefore they are the only ones who see it. The Internet is great a siloing people off into hive minds.

Not attacking it, just steel manning ( Use the steelman technique to persuade people who disagree with you | Conversion Rate Experts ) the argument in case it’s raised. It’s worth thinking about how you will respond.

We should if we have time look at the individual sports writers accounts and join discussions when they mention the F A Cup - we are sold out not at home ex winners with the statement attached

People can disagree with it though, can't they?
