Ipswich haven’t come into form they’ve just won a game

Thanks Pete - one win in about 12 or 13 hardly means they've hit form. If you could tell me now that we don't lose more than 6 all season then I can't see us not making the play offs. Doncaster will be tough next Saturday, but for me the key thing will be down to how we get on with injuries within the squad.

I think Grendel has a point about this season or bust not least because the budget for next year is linked with the turnover for this. Ie we’re screwed !! Unless ownership changes and a loan is made that doesn’t need repaying

If we'd have beaten MK Dons, I'd probably have said Top 2. But with every other team strengthening, and us struggling against MK, I can't see us going up automatically at all.

I think the accounts will make grim reading

The costs will be up and the revenue down.i think last season 70% of revenue was from non related match day income (sales of players I assume)

Even then and with higher revenue Sisu had to loan the club money to keep it going

The shortfall this year must be significantly higher. I’d be amazed if we don’t try and sell in this window at least one player to raise cash

Me too. I think it would be a real statement not to cash in on McCallum / a n other younger player.

I do wonder how quick Joe Newton (is that the other left back) will progress if Sam moves on

Depends if we can sell some and get 1 or 2 in this window.... if we do that then top 2, if not then 4-8th

Do we know we haven’t had any special terms from the EFL? I’m sure we got told at Sixfields that there was some leeway due to special circumstances but may have imagined that.

There was an equity arrangement which helped the budget I assume

Does that still apply if we went up though - basing a Championship campaign on this season's turnover? I assume you're allowed to make allowances for the extra PL payout etc.

This is where qualifying through play offs (play off final) is ridiculously more lucrative than getting automatic. that could be a without knowing exact figures worth £1M plus, if you factor in % Semi final gate receipts as well. Not to mention 3 televised games.

Especially if play off final is 90k Sell out which it may likely be if we play Ipswich/Sunderland/Portsmouth.

A decent cup run and gate if we progress vs Brum will be worth an Extra 250k in prize money and gate receipts. Last year knocked out early.

So still plenty more bonus revenue potentially available.

Peterborough's star man is on his way to Charlton!

This ones took a bizarre turn. Apparently he isn’t going to Charlton now and last night he screenshotted a post from a fans group which said he’s easily replaceable and he responded that he’s done the fans missus

We will finish top with 2 games to spare. We haven't had our purple patch yet. Get in!

We are easily good enough for top 6 - turn draws into wins in the 2nd half of the season and avoid catastrophic injuries and we might well achieve automatic promotion - what a beautiful game!!

His agent is telling him he’s as good as Henry or Messi or some such crap.
He is a middle/top end League 1 player and that’s about it IMO.
