The Secret Footballer book says 95% of the rumours you see in the paper/online are led by the agent who wants to get a new/better deal for his client or a switch of a club if the players unhappy

Definitely ZW's agent trying to get his client a deal that's better than a simple one-year extension (which would be on his current salary)

He compares every player to Maddison and says we shouldn’t sell them because they’re going to be worth £20m in the Championship

What he fails to understand is that Maddison is the exception rather than the rule when it comes to League 1 players. I think Westbrooke and Maddison are the same age actually so it’s a ridiculous comparison - it’s not as if Westbrooke is the same age as Maddison when we sold him then he may have a little more of a point

He seems to think if we get promoted to the Championship then our entire teams value goes up by a few million

PSB Group, no idea.

I think the last few years have shown we are pretty good at judging when to sell and replacing them when we do. If he goes it’ll be because it’s the right decision for both club and team I’m sure.

Some people just want to moan. It’s as if they’ve decided we are definitely going up halfway through the season

The comparisons with Bayliss PSB Group keeps putting out is a bit odd. There’s 3 years apart - at the same age Westbrooke was on loan at Solihull.

On the back of half a season of reasonable form, about 500k. 2 million would be great business

IF Bristol City are interested, and £2m is the rumoured fee... then why not see about a straight swap for Walsh

If it’s Cardiff, let’s not forget they paid £6mil for Gary Madine. I’d expect Westbrooke to go for about £140million.
