My second favourite City player. Am a bit disappointed by what he said though, if he was really that good Liverpool wouldn’t have sold him to lowly Coventry.

He didn’t exactly ‘leave’ Liverpool to join us. That would imply they wanted to keep him and he was a key player.

He wouldn’t and didn’t get many games there so it made sense for him find a home more suited to his abilities

he was set to join Bradford until we swooped in with a matched offer.

It’s crazy how people’s opinions change after a few ‘quotes’ in a paper.

All these years I have never heard anyone say a bad word against him and loved his time here and now he’s Public Enemy No.1.

Oh by the way.......Konjic said he preferred the fans in the Main Stand.

I've always said the same about him since he played for us tbf.
Carsley was our best and most important player in the team post relegation, his sale was a disaster.

You my friend are utterly clueless

Clearly not, I was one of the few on this site who thought Maddison was a class footballer and have a decent career.

Shaw did not warrant such a long career here, watch any highlights from around 2000, it'll be Shaw outpaced, out of position, out jumped etc. He wasn't the only one not good enough though.

No he wasn’t-Konjic also springs to mind. Somehow obtained some silly cult hero status when in reality he was probably on a par or even below the likes of Shaw.

Somehow Shaw was a first team regular for 10 years, our defence was a weak link for almost all that time, we could see it, I bet his team mates did too, yet successive managers didn’t or wouldn’t.

Konjik was useless

Indeed he was. Maybe signed a few autographs and had a few pictures taken with the fans to use as a smokescreen?

He’d have outdone Biamou in the selfie stakes if he was here now

Let me understand what you are saying. Biamou (who seems like an all round nice guy) takes time to speak with fans. And you choose to use that against him? You need help Moron.

Have you got a selfie with him?

You probably rated Konjik

They won a ‘treble’ under Houllier. League Cup, FA Cup and UEFA Cup.

If I remember rightly the Arsenal FA Cup final was one sided as it gets then Owen popped up with two late goals
You’re right, I was at the game, Arsenal were so much the better team, and Owen scored two late goals. Daylight robbery, I’m not an Arsenal fan, but it was a sickener to see.
