Odd one, im sure its been covered, by why isnt the lad getting any games at preston? he sat on the bench a bunch, but hasnt even featured there for the last two?

i imagine he'll be pushing for a loan in January?

Preston are winning games and have a settled midfield, why change it?

Maybe we could get him back on loan? But tbh our midfield is stacked and we have perfectly good alternatives to Bayliss

It's a striker we need, not another midfielder.
Baylis would only be sat on our bench now.

Wasn’t Maddison much the same when he first went to Norwich loaned out for a while too.

Yes. Madders was also sold to the same manager. No coincidence. Expect to see Bayliss featuring more heavily in the championship next season.

Just seems mad that you'd buy a players for a couple of mil, and not play him at all?
Have him around the first team squad, few sub appearances to pick up the difference in pace and level. May go out on loan in Jan but won't be back here. From Preston's perspective better to pay 2m last summer and have his progress under your control than risk the price doubling next summer and more competition for his signature.

It was more Daniel Farke who started playing Maddison at Norwich wasn't it? Makes you wonder where Maddison would be now if Farke didn't turn up.

No guarantees Bayliss will get the same treatment

Ironically wasn't it O'neil at Norwich at the time that wasn't playing Madders?

They have a 35 year old playing in his position in the first team currently - doesn’t take a genius to work out the plan. But for now, the 35 year old is still playing out of his skin & so he just needs to bide his time.

Genuinely, and if I'm wrong I'd own up, think he is nowhere near as good as people suggest.

He never was and never will be close to the player Madderz is.

I don't even think he's much better than what we have now.
