Fed up with everyone saying how bad things are at City, we all agree SISU have killed this club and its going to get worse, much worse.
Stop moaning about things and get off your arses and do something about it, lets not give up without some sort of fight.
The "Save Our City" campaign failed due to people having differernt views and the timing of things, season is now over we are down and going further down. The Club is in a mess just like our whole community, who cares about the Olympics its my City that matters to me.

Fisher and SISU are all lies and fake promises, they want to keep us all quiet for as long as possible and think we are just an unorganised rabble, lets proove them wrong.

Our one big chance is an Olympic game at Coventry, loud but peacefull demonstration, let the World Press ask "Whats all this about"? We need people in power to see that our City, our Community our lives are being taken away by an International orgaisation that invests other peoples money.

comments?

Ok so what are YOU going to do then?

I'm not going to the olympic football so that idea is out of the window as far as I'm concerned.

Well for one thing, we also need AT to stay true to his word. He said he would only stay of if he got reassurances about a transfer budget.

When this doesn't happen we need him to be strong and either walk away or publicly come out and say he has not been backed. This now isn't just about the fans I think the whole thing also needs to implode from within.

Already tried with SOC campaign and failed, not giving up but I am just one person.

I have no interest in going to any Olympic games but the press of the World will be.

The Olympics have nothing to do with Coventry City or SISU. I don't agree that there is no such thing as bad publicity, because I think this would be exactly that.

Look at the posts from other fans on here in recent weeks. We currently have the sympathy of the footballing world. People are applauding our efforts, know how we have been mistreated and I feel that a good number of them genuinely want us to achieve better things and get rid of SISU. Let's not damage or destroy that reputation. The football 'family' is important and whilst we have them on side we are less likely (imo) for the risk/reward of SISU liquidating us as it's a very real possibility if the noises have any substance.

First off I would never put down anyone for trying to raise the issue in any legal way they can.

I really do not think the Olympics is the place to do it

- It is an event aimed at show casing our city and there is a potential for future investment that goes way beyond CCFC
- Security cover around the event will be tight and unlikely to permit such protests within at least 500m of the stadium.
- like it or not CCFC really are not that important in the scheme of things - they are to you and me but to but to someone in the UAE or Korea ?
- Locog vet any coverage and very unlikely to permit said coverage within exclusion zone around stadium.
- If by luck someone starts to protest or raises a banner then i reckon 10 minutes will be all you get before it is stamped on. They will be aware of the risk of such a protest............. and now also the venue.
- I also think you may get arrested for breach of the peace
- the major coverage is in London not here so time aired from the city of coventry stadium will be at a premium
- Local news will possibly cover it but to be honest international news wont see it as news worthy

Personally I think such a protest to be ill conceived but thats just my opinion - I know some here think it is worth a shot and like i said i am not going to decry anyone for having the passion for our team........... but such a protest isnt for me and i do not back it.

I agree that definately more needs to be done. Now the footaball season is nearly over any thoughts from others will go away. I feel there are so many diferent viewpoints on how we should go forward with some sort of campaign against SISU, that not one way forward regarding protesting can ever be agreed upon.We have been talking all season on here about the way forward ,and when someone tried to do something he was critised so badly he had no option but to give up.

Lethargy from the majority is also a problem, they would rather sit back and let someone else do the hard work of organising a protest than take any part helping out. Any suggestions are either laughed out or critised so much that nothing even starts to take shape.

The football family really only cares about ther own club, would we help out Hartlepool if hey had crap owners, No would be the answer, so any thoughts on other clubs helping us should be ignored in my opinion. We hear there MAY be an annoucement from the club in ten days, as put by a poster on another thread, but can we trust this will happen.

I would say some sort of protest march from Highfield Road to the Ricoh is a must ,if by the middle of May we still have'nt heard from the club, and i would definately take part in that.

Apparently security at The Ricoh during the Olympics is property of the Home Office so normal rules and regs are changed. On that basis it is probable that any demo peaceful or not even on public land i.e. the street would be jumped on. I know a steward doing these games and he is pissed off with this Home Office crowd.

What they going to do arrest 200 people for standing on the main rounderbout chatting "SISU OUT" and waving banners?
Even if the World or local Press did not pick up on it I personally would feel so much better for actually doing something rather than nothing at all. Am sure the Council would not be happy or the Local MPs but it would highlite our plight.
Who will go to these games anyway? Football people from the UK, be it pundits, coaches, football supporters or VIPs who get free tickets, everyone would see these people and ask "WHY" ?

MY THOUGHTS ARE JUST ORGANISE IT, GET SUPPORT, JUST THE THREAT OF IT WOULD CAUSE AN INTERERST.

Its my City I can stand where I want.

I'm up for that people demonstrate about things all the time they can't stop us doing that on the bridge or the side of the road or Tesco car park near the subway I'm with you on this Steve at least its a start and will worry sisu, they will be on the phone to the club however they cant do anything cos its the Olympic committee running the show,it'll send a few shock waves through sisu

They can stop you and I suspect they will. The laws surrounding this kind of event are usually very specific and carry extraordinary consequences.

If its outside the excluision zone, it will receive little or no attention and certainly not the global attention you believe or seek. If anything it will therefore be overshadowed by other newsworthy items such as the Olympics itself and I guess we would be likely to be reported as "typical football hooligans".

A demonstration or a march is a great idea organised properly, I would attend and I'm sure many others would, but I think it would be more newsworthy in the off-season when there is not much other sport to report on (and on a day that doesn't clash with Wimbledon or the Open etc) and totally away from any Olympic connection.

Don't get all of this protest stuff.

As much as we don't like it, football is An entertainment industry product, if your not happy, don't go

I havent been to the ricoh in 2 years, been to loads of away games

Sisu have missed out on the best part of 1k of my money

If no one turns up, it has to put pressure on them, as it's their only income

If this was westlife, we wouldn't pay to see them, protest about how poor it was, then pay again.

I am not giving sisu 1p

Will continue to support my team away from home

If this was Westlife, I think we might have been more combative in the middle of the park and carried a shade more of a goal threat.

I remember when the ''Kean out'' thing was at its peak... it appeared everywhere. I was watching the darts and a Kean out banner was in the crowd, seen every time the cameras panned to the crowd.
I would suggest something similar. It would be a fairly big operation, but i'm talking in the back of live news reports etc.

I haven't thought it through properly, just an idea.
Thought?

You're using your cash to arm the funds of the opponents we play against. Are you American by any chance? Sell arms to the Afghans so that they can fight the Russians and then complain when they use the weapons against the USA. :)

That's an interesting point, and one I hadn't thought of

Having said that, it's the only way I get to watch ccfc and not give money to sisu, so I will carry on if that's OK.

No protest will ever been as effective as not turning up

Watch mcleish be kicked out by villa in the very near future because of dwindling gates

Id suggest hanging banners along all bridges/roundabouts on routes towards the Ricoh. Only takes 5 mins to tie one up and it gets seen by everyone passing. Im not sure wether this is legal but it gets attention. It would only need a group of say 10 of us to get them up an hour or 2 before the games kick off!
